I bought this item hoping my granddaughters would enjoy it, they are 1 yr old & almost 3. They are both enjoying it!

My kid slams this on the ground in excitement and its still trucking. Worth it in my book

The sorting shapes have stickers on them. If your baby puts these in their mouth the stickers will come off. The good news is that if you soak them in hot soapy water you can scrape the stickers off with a knife. Stupid and unsafe to put the stickers on something when most babies/toddlers put everything in their mouths.

Bigger than expected. Great for little hands and busy minds.

After seeing the other activity cubes listed here I decided to go with this Vtech option (there is another one) based on size, colors, and I thought the amount and type of activities it offered would keep my son entertained for a while. I was absolutely right. My son is generally attracted to lights and sounds, this cube certainly delivers on both. The front and top sides offer multiple options for him to push/turn/twist so that he can listen to a different sounds each time (he loves the monkey noise) as well as the piano keys which perform multiple functions (animal noises, songs, lights, find the animal). The other sides aren't quite as loud or bright but he still engages quite a bit. He thoroughly enjoys spinning the food/instrument shapes and turning the gears below (another noise maker). The sliding monkey, bird, bug side is his least favorite and just feels like this side should've been designed better (my only reason for the 4 star mark). The shape blocks are great, he just started putting the circle in the correct hole so it's really great to see the progress.Overall I would strongly recommend this product to any parent. It has kept my child engaged for over 6 months now and is a staple in his play routine. I would say this purchase is most useful once baby starts crawling or even more so when they can sit up. As with most Vtech products I'm very satisfied with this product and continue to look for their toys when making a new toy purchase.
