M-Audio Oxygen Pro 25 – 25 Key USB MIDI Keyboard Controller With Beat Pads, MIDI assignable Knobs & Buttons, and Software Suite Included

You pay a premium for aftertouch and full-sized keys but this one is worth it. I have not had it long enough to map all the possible controls to my DAW. Quality seems high. Solid feel. Keys make an acceptable amount of noise. Pads and switches feel great.

Un ottimo controller con un rapporto qualità prezzo eccellente.Costruzione buona, pad un pò durini ma tasti molto comodj, almeno per me.Utile il display anche se piccolo.La compatibilità per le daw più in voga, in realtà, non è automatica ma richiede una configurazione manuale che è però documentata sul sito M-Audio alla sezione knowledgebase dove è possibile trovare tutti gli articoli  in dettaglio su come fare per utilizzare la Oxygen Pro 25 con i vari programmi.Consiglio di aggiornare subito il firmware che risolve il problema delle manopole del pitch e del mod e migliora la sua integrazione con Ableton Live che ora è quasi perfetta.L'integrazione con MPC Beats invece lascia a desiderare: meglio usare la funzione midi learn del software Akai.La manualistica a corredo è perfettamente in stile con i prodotti In Music (Akai, Alesis etc.) cioè stringata e poco chiara nelle spiegazioni.La dotazione in bundle è interessante ed è facilmente installabile grazie al software manager scaricabile dal sito M-Audio previa registrazione del prodotto.Un plauso all'ottimo supporto di M-Audio che ha sempre risposto alle mie richieste dandomi un aiuto importante per poter capire e sfruttare le numerose potenzialità del controller.Facilità d'uso direi anche no ma ricchezza di funzionalità decisamente notevole e con un ottimo supporto come sopra.Non credo esista un prodotto simile a questo prezzo.

I got this for my son who is getting into music production. I have the Oxygen Pro 61, and for 15 years had an Axiom 49. Time will tell, but quality seems on par with my larger one which is very good. It is easy to setup, but if you’re new, read the manual as this is a very robust controller.

I got this to replace an Akai mk2 mini that started dying on me. I expected the short keys but didn't pay attention. I'm glad I didn't, because this feels great to play. The keys aren't springy/synthy feeling, but aren't like full weighted keys. They have a nice almost-clack that is pleasing to play, and makes some phrases feel more natural than they might on a more springy keyboard.Another reason I like this is the pitch bend and mod wheel. They have a nice feel to them, but are otherwise typical, it's just they're replacing a controller that uses a stick that controls both, making it impossible to do a full pitch bend and mod. So this is another big upgrade from what I came from.The drum pads don't seem like anything special, but there's nothing wrong with them. The knobs feel fine. It works fine with my DAW (Cubase).There's a whole lot on this keyboard that wouldn't be worth writing home about, but it all feels much nicer than what the price would suggest. It feels like a real device as opposed to a toy, like some other controllers can feel like. Overall it's a complete win in my book.

I specifically got this midi controller to use with PreSonus Studio One. It took a while to figure out everything but it configured well and it it's loaded with sounds and features. It also comes with some nice VSTs and another DAW called MPC Beats if you just need an easy way to build loops.Note that although it can be used with any DAW, this is not just another Ableton Live specific midi controller like Arturia keyboards (Arturia is unecessarily complicated to setup their control surface with anything but Ableton Live).I would highly recommend this M-Audio controller for any user of PreSonus Studio One or for any DAW (it also comes with a free version of Ableton Live Lite as well if that is your preference).
