Well written, very organized, lots of little caveats
Kim Roman’s book is well written, specific, very organized, and has good information. It is a pleasure to read a how-to that has great flow and is without typos. As if she is speaking…She has good general information with great photos and specifics about container gardening. She has 1 chapter on hydroponics basically just outlining the subject - not too much info on hydroponics- but the essentials. I was hoping for more on hydroponics so a little disappointing for me but good basics.I have been growing with container gardening for a few yrs and found the info helpful. I have more recently become very interested in hydroponics as well and just for fun started a small hydroponics system. She has some good additional information-the caveats- that are easy to plug into the my garden experience.I highly recommend Kim Romans Container Gardening book.

Best book I found for Indoor gardening.
I am thoroughly impressed with how the author explains plant profiles in their book. The book provides easy-to-understand charts that include the name of each vegetable and herb, as well as important information on growing methods, light, water, temperature, pollination, fertilizer, and additional notes and tips. Not only are the charts helpful, but there is also a section dedicated to hydroponic systems. As a beginner, I had been struggling to find this valuable information elsewhere, so I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it.

Some good information
Overall the book had some good information. But it wasn’t what I thought it’d be for indoor growing. The part about different pests freaked me out. It wasn’t always clear how certain pests could come inside. It also didn’t go over details for indoor growing. It appeared to assume that eventually the plants would be moved outdoors. For a couple of plants it commented about growing in winter months, but honestly I thought all would be discussed for indoor growing, year round as the title suggests. There was also no glossary of terms and made a lot of assumptions about the reader’s knowledge.

Better than the internet.
This book is so helpful. I always thought the age of using books for info like this was over. But this book changed my mind. You don’t know what you don’t know. And this book is comprehensive - it takes you through indoor gardening from start to finish and gives you a solid understanding of the whole process. I can’t imagine trying to get that from google searches alone. And it’s beautiful - so lovely to flip through and be inspired. Thanks, Kim, for the tip on chlorine in water - made the difference in some of our drooping plants. Great book. So glad I bought it.

Knowledgeable author & well-written book
What did I dislike? Nothing!! Well-written from the experienced side of plants. I’ve gone over it several times. Love the examples included. Wish we had more windows in case the power goes off, though. I already know we can do great things here. This book has given me the confidence I need for indoor vegetable planting, a very well-thought out read for making it work. Thank you!!

EXCELLENT!!!! Buy this book!!
Wow! I actually stopped on page 64 to write a review because I have already learned so much from this awesome book! Everything is broken down so easily and written in common terminology. I really appreciate that! I bought other books on gardening and returned them. This one is amazing and the only one I will need for growing plants indoors year round.

This book is a great reference! Easy to understand and just enough detail. The spiral binding is a bonus so you can lay it flat!

great book
Great book for beginners or all rounders...not much info on microgreens which I would have thought would be of special interest for growing indoors....as I said, a good all rounder beginners book....or to get ideas that you could follow up with more in depth books
