Q: do these have a good grip on slick floors?And are they noisy when you are on slick floors?

Thesesoles are not like the old wooden soles. The soles are made of a synthetic rubber type of material so there is no loud sound as you walk. Yes the grip is good as long as the floor is not wet.

Q: Does this version have the toe grip like the original used to have?

It does not, and, for me, there was a noticeable difference. I almost returned them, but remembered I had a pair of Dr. Scholl’s Ball of Foot Pain inserts in another pair of shoes. Tried them with these and I really liked it. This version isn’t clunky loud on a floor surface like the originals, but has more of a cushion feel, which I find to be more comfortable than the wooden soles. When the inserts worked I was happy with them.

Q: Is the buckle on these adjustable or is it for show only? I recently saw a pair that had a buckle but adjustment was done through Velcro.

It is Velcro. This is my 4th pair of Dr Scholls sandals all the rest were adjustable buckle except this one. And I prefer it actually coz its easier to adjust.

The conversion between European sizes and USA sizes is wrong. The one that I got was too large which I’ll have to return now
