This review shouldn't be too long I don't use a scanner like this Every day. I purchased this for key fob programming. Man let me tell you this thing did the job that Ace Jardware couldn't do unfortunately. It didn't even take a minute. I suppose there's a cheaper scanner that can program Keys as well but this one was on sale at the time and it did great. 10/10 I may purchase again and from this brand too.

This product costs about the same as one key programming from the dealership. If you have more than one car or would like more than one additional key this is the ideal way to go. It will program most "difficult" keys but there are a few brands that are not possible outside of a dealership. My relative's Mercedes was not compatible so be sure to check your cars with the seller. I sent them my VIN and they responded very quickly.As an added benefit, it has sophisticated error code checking, oil change reset, and a variety of other features that give you control over the computer systems. These were more than I needed but it's nice to know I have them if I ever do want to adjust technical settings.I've owned the device for about 1 year, and I've received several OTA updates in that time. This suggests support for the product is ongoing. I expect to be able to use it to add keys to my next cars when the time comes.

It's a good tool. I added keys for 2015 Honda Civic. Quickly & accurately diagnosed camshaft sensor. The interface is easy to register, setup and navigate.The wording used seems like it's been translated from another language into English. Mostly understandable but just a like off.Manually input VIN numbers are cleared when I change menus. I didn't see quick options to typing again and again. Customer service showed me the history option.Does not support 2002 Mitsubishi Galant. Does not support 2003 Toyota Camry.I like it. but definitely research if you need certain options or compatibility before you decide on which model.Customer service has been outstanding. They been responsive to emails. thorough with questions, and helpful with solutions.

I was having issues with my xtool so reached out to the company and the customer service was excellent. Phoebe was in contact with me every step of the way. Definitely will be purchasing from them again.

Despite many emails from tech support saying this supported programming the keyless entry FOB it would not. I ended up paying $140 to have a locksmith do it in 5 minutes using the FOBs I had been trying to program with the X100 pad. I will say tech support does reply to my emails in a timely manner.

I was in auto mechanic for 15 years retired I'm on mechanics 10 years ago. This is hands down the best scanner for mid-level auto mechanics and do it yourselfers. Very easy to follow instructions. Very easy to use. I have program two keys with it. And diagnosed all four of our cars. And a few friends cars. I would absolutely recommend this people who want to fix their cars right. And as peace of mind to keep your cars running right. The company also followed up three weeks after I bought it to make sure I was completely satisfied. Could not ask for anything better.

This is such a great tool to have in your arsenal! Reads all of my 2016 Quattroporte Maserati codes, engine diagnostics with amazing detail. Saves so much money from having to take my car to a Maserati mechanic. The other great thing about this tool is that I lost one of my car key fobs. The Maserati dealership in Dallas quoted me a price of $1,400 for a new key fob and an additional $350 to program the key fob. I emailed Xtools Tech Support. They confirmed that the X100 could program my 2016 key fobs for my Maserati. So that was the leading factor in buying the instrument. I was able to find Maserati Key Fobs on AMAZON for $150 for TWO key fobs (instead of the $1,400 for one quoted by a Maserati dealership). Received the key fobs and followed all of the step by step directions the X100 listed on screen. And lo and behold, I now have TWO new extra Key fobs that work for my Maserati. This instrument is worth every penny and then some.
