Dark Days (The Survivalist Book 8)

Loved It
Another great book in The Survivalist series. Bradley continues to create an enjoyable book with a great plot filled with plenty of adventures. For some reason, I thought there were only 8 books in the series. I was ecstatic find out there are actually 12 books. I can't wait to see what else happens to the characters and where the next plot will take them. I thoroughly enjoy Bradley's style of writing. He is witty, funny, and filled with knowledge when it comes to survival skills. I have learned so much from reading these books. I also love the occasional illustrations. I wish there were more. I highly recommend this series.

Did Not Disappoint
Dark Days was another(#8) survival of the post-USA people that once knew freedom and liberty but now survive from day to day on wits alone, OK....and ammo and scrounging for food etc. The bad guys are all around and those trying to establish a more normal civilization are in the minority. This is an epic series that moves from book to book, but never gets dull or boring. Each chapter opens a new adventure and challenge to the characters that keeps the reader involved with the events as they materialize. Completing each book leaves the reader wanting more, and Mr. Bradley delivers in a powerful way.

Following the Raines and Samantha as they continue to try to survive the aftermath of Superpox
This is another in the series following Marshall Raines and his son Tanner along with Samantha, the assassinated presidents daughter as they try to navigate a post apocolyptic world. While I've enjoyed all of the books to this point, the storyline is getting old. I would love to see a point in the saga where they settle down and try to start anew. Unfortunately, this book was more of the same of the last 4 books. Marshall Raines go out on his adventure, Tanner and Samantha go on theirs. Issa, Tanner new wife embarks on her own. I can already see the plot for the next book without even reading it. Issa is still not home, so of course Tanner and Samantha will go on an rescue mission. While entertaining, these stories are getting stale. My hope is that Marshall Raines, his faithful dog Bowie, Tanner, Samantha and Issa will try to build a life and the world will start to recover. I'm finding it difficult to continue buying these books knowing it's more of the same. 3 stars because the books are well written and I love the characters, I would like, however, to see a change in the story lines.

READ THIS SERIES!!
This latest book could be my favorite in the series! It has everything! Adventure, romance, suspense, and twists and turns! Well now that I say that, all the books in the Survivalist series have everything! I never never never write book reviews...too busy, don't really care, watching paint dry, etc. etc, BUT for this series I wanted to. I have loved all of them and get sick to my stomach when I finish one.....knowing that it may be a couple of months before the next book comes out. I would love to share everything I liked about the book but I don't want to give away anything! I'll give a little hint though, there was a twist that I really did not see coming and it was perfect! Mr. Bradley.....Keep 'em coming! Potential Reader.....READ IT

Love love these books!
Arthur Bradley is one of those authors that when their newest book comes out I save it for special occasions so I can really enjoy it to the fullest! I had to be away from home last week and I took my Kindle w/me expressly so that I could savor the story. Love his characters and, as always, the interplay between a "hard" man and a 12 year old girl are totally well written. I swear the author is so inside his characters that he's just voicing them and not making up the story!Love this one as well as all the others and can't wait for the next one - he's the guy who can make you believe in almost any monster and think it's rational! Keep them coming, Dr Bradley! Well done as always!

One of the Best Indie Series Out There!!!!!!
I've read all of the series and this one I'll give 4 stars. Not as good as the others, but well worth reading. I will stay with this author as his quality of writing is so very good. I think there is still a lot of story to be told. Some authors write too many sequels, but with this story more will be needed for the story to be told well. That's no always the case. Some of my favorite indie authors need to start a new project instead of a new release 10. All of this author's work has been 5 star work easily. The series is that good!

Another day, another adventure
Once again I am reading the saga of U.S. Marshall Raines and his dog Bowie. This also includes Tanner Raines, his adopted daughter Samantha, wife Issa and their unborn child. Between rescuing hostages, ending a nuclear power threat, and staying alive after learning a dark secret nothing is ever easy for our heroes. But they somehow manage to survive.

Where does YOUR food come from?
If I remember correctly, this series was supposed to stop at book #6...I am so grateful that they are continuing! I have become completely invested in these characters and their storylines. As a parent, I do find it difficult to rationalize some ot the choices that (pregnant) Issa is making, but love the dynamic between Tanner & Samantha, and Marshall Raines &Bowie (who is still my favorite character!!!)Dr. Bradley makes it so easy to turn these books into a learning opportunity. At the end of each one, I take some time to look back and reflect on how the characters resolved certain situations they found themselves in, and add what I've learned to my ever growing arsenal of knowledge!

Excellent
Brilliant post-apocalyptic story, with not too much emphasis on the zombie side of things. I hate zombies. Can't wait for the next chapter in this on-going story.
