Organic Oscar Oatmeal Shampoo, 8-Ounce

The only reason I am giving this shampoo 4 stars is that I wish I didn't have to worry about getting this in my dogs mouth or eyes per the statement on the packaging. It made me a little nervous when I used it for the first time because of this. Even though I am careful when I shampoo my dog, you never know. I was extremely pleased with how my dog looked after I shampooed him. There is not much lather to this shampoo but my dog's fur was very, very soft and he smelled nice afterwards. In fact, he looked like he just came from the groomer's since his coat was so fluffy and soft. Of all of the dog shampoos I have used, I would rate this the highest in quality.

I used to use johnson & johnson's baby shampoo to bathe my dog. She had developed some reeeeeeeeeeally itchy skin over the last year and I was looking for a non-pharmaceutical product that would alleviate that itch. I had initially thought it was flees or something and tried all manner of flea shampoos and ointments. The itching wouldn't go away though and so I took her to the vet. She prescribed an anti-allergy medication however it was upsetting her stomach and so I began my quest to find a "natural" remedy. The first time I bathed her, I didn't really notice much of a change. However after the 3rd bath (1 week between each bath), her itching had gone to almost zero. I have been using it since then and will continue to do so. This made my pup so much happier and has made my life (specifically my ability to sleep through the night w/o her scratching and waking me up) so much better.

I first heard about Organic Oscar from a friend who said it healed her dog's sensitive skin problem. Previously, when I used other products on my dogs, their skin was irritated, too (flaky, rashes, etc). Just like my friend, I was always told that it was because my dogs had sensitive skin. So naturally, I tried Organic Oscar shampoo and conditioner (the Conditioner product is AWESOME:  Organic Oscar Aloe Vera Conditioner ).In short, I am incredibly happy with Organic Oscar.The first thing I noticed about Organic Oscar is the fresh scent. It was the first shampoo I ever tried that didn't smell like chemicals. This was a promising start.After a single use of Organic Oscar, their skin had zero reactions. This leads me to believe that my dogs had healthy skin and it was the previous shampoo that caused the damage.So now I'm fanatically loyal to Organic Oscar. Ever since we started using the shampoo and conditioner, my dogs have had zero skin issues. I'm recommending it to all of my family and friends.

LOVE love love this!!!! It's mild enough but extraordinary at relieving doggie itches!!!! We have seven kids (Keeshonds and Poms) and all of Oscars products rock for us!!!! It's pricey but SO worth it. Their coats are always so soft, shiny and extremely manageable with Oscars. I've used this on rashes and flea bite itches by just putting it on the area and letting it sit there for a while, even an hour or two, the rinsed off the area with a wash cloth. The kids don't mind it and it brought instant relief from itches upon application. This year has been a doozy for fleas, even with all the protection on them and the yard. We've even used it on ourselves after doing yard work and getting itchy on our legs and arms. We WILL NOT be without ever. IT WORKS!!! The kids no it and won't run from its application because they know it works!

I think I would prefer the oatmeal for my puppy, but I wanted to try this. I don't like the smell much, but it's not horrible. It goes away after a while like most dog shampoos. The packaging is cute, but the cap is hard to get on and off. The pump makes bath time a little easier. The shampoo itself seems to be just okay. My pup loves a different shampoo made with avocado oil. I think it makes her less itchy. She didn't seem to have a problem with this shampoo though.

My dog scratches all the time and I am going nuts trying to find the right combination of products to help him. My dog is on a healthy raw diet, only eats healthy treats like raw carrots and gets taken to the park daily. His hair is very soft and his underbelly is notmal with no issues. Yes he still scratches.This was the third product I tried. I like the smell of it. If you leave on your dog for a minimum of 10 minutes, it will help with the itch for about 12-24 hours, but after that, it returns.Perhaps you'll have better success. I'm still using but will be adding a medicated spray as well.

I have one dog that has bad skin allergies and requires a bath almost weekly. This shampoo works fine, but does nothing to relieve her itching. It does smell nice and lathers fine.The packaging is cute, but no one with a bigger dog can use a pump to get the shampoo out of the bottle. You have to take it off and pour it out.I probably will not buy it again to help with itching (which this says it will do), but might if it was just for a regular dog bath needs. It's rather expensive for shampoo that doesn't meet my needs.

smells good, didn't seem to strip my puppy's coat of it's healthy oils or anything. not sure it really matters in the end, though, if you use a fancy shampoo like this or just something cheap and simple like baby johnson's shampoo. and i doubt the lavender scent helped to calm her at all, as she was still pretty frantic. But this certainly does the trick and smells nice!

I have three dogs my black poodle’s coats were soft and shiny after shampooing them .my Chihuahua is white and her coat looked healthy after shampooing.

Expensive, but worth it. Dog's coats are so shiny and gets rid of the smell of even Fox poo! Plus it is all natural, which is great and will help to repel fleas. Don't expect it to foam up much, but it is lovely stuff and lasts well.

Brilliant shampoo, no itching, scratching or rubbing. It rinses clean and gets white dogs really white. This is my 3rd bottle.

Wonderful product. Dog smells really good without nasty synthetic fragrance, and seemingly less itchy with regular bathing.
