Let me tell you, these Purina DentaLife Savory Salmon Dental Treats are paws-down the best I’ve ever had! The crunchy texture is not only fun to munch on, but my humans say it helps keep my teeth clean—whatever that means. All I know is they’re absolutely delicious!I’ve tried all kinds of treats, but nothing compares to these. The salmon flavor is so good, I come running every time I hear the bag crinkle. Three years ago, my wife and I adopted two feral kittens. During their first veterinarian visit, both of the vets on staff said that both of the kittens would have to have most of their teeth removed due to condition. My wife and I were upset at the prospect of having to have our kittens teeth removed. We began giving them both an after-dinner snack of Purina DentaLife. They enjoyed the flavor and crunchy consistency of the snack. A few months later we took both of the cats back to the vet for a follow-up. Our vet was very impressed with the condition of their teeth and stated "Whatever you are doing for their dental health, keep doing it. Their teeth are beautiful." We had given Purina DentaLife to our two previous cats who had since passed away and they lived long lives without any dental problems.

My cat loves these and they have really done a great job keeping her teeth clean. Twice each day I toss 6 of them , one at a time, for her to run and find. It gives her some fun and exercise at the same time as the crunching cleans her teeth and gums. I’ve tried a different brand but the nuggets are smaller and she only does one bite or swallows them whole. The Dentalife require 2 to 4 bites. Perfect!

My cat eats dry kibble and Sheba pate, she also loves these dental treats! Both the chicken and salmon. I also know friends who have had successful cat quality of teeth using this same brand. Probiotics are a plus!!

I purchased the Purina DentaLife Cat Dental Treats after my ten year old cat Walter's last veterinary appointment where he received a pretty low grade regarding his dental health. Too have his teeth professionally cleaned was over $1000 and they would need to put him under and I avoid that at all costs. Another option was to put him back on dry food but he is prone to urinary tract infections so I was sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place. I decided to give these a try based on the reviews.He has been eating them daily for over a month now and there is a noticeable improvement. It took some time before he would even let me get near his mouth but I went slow putting my hands near his mouth a little more every day until be finally let me open his mouth enough to check. There is a lot less plaque built up on his teeth and his gums look a lot healthier too. His breath is a little bit better as well, but I am hoping it continues to improve. Right now I put about 10-15 pellets in his bowl with this canned food, which is seafood based so I purchased the Salmon flavored, each time I feed him - which is twice a day. At some point I might cut back the frequency and amount, but for now I am going to continue as is for another 3-4 weeks.So yeah, this stuff really did the trick for Walter. Not sure it will work for your cat - it is dependent on if they will even eat them, but for my cat it worked out well. I have been buying these for a few years now, after my vet gave us something similar to help with tartar on my cat’s teeth. She loves them. This bag lasts almost a year giving my cat 3 in the morning and 3 at night. She has to actually chew them because of the size and the texture, unlike her dry kibble. Great value for the money. If you are a multi cat household would be worth getting.
