I've only bench tested this item to trouble shoot some faulty Motors. I was able to adjust the speed from zero to full with the dial.

Excellent product and very robust!
I bought this to control the speed of a fairly large DC motor after reading the positive reviews here on Amazon. Somehow I initially connected the power with reverse polarity. I thought I had destroyed the unit but was very happy to find that only the fuse had blown and when I corrected my wiring everything still work perfectly. Very robust unit! Highly recommend.

Works well.
I use this for slowing down an aftermarket electric fuel pump on my car project. Pump requires about 5 amps at full load - or so the specs claim. Just what I was looking for, and the price is low.
