Zodiac Academy: The Awakening as Told by the Boys

This was such a good retelling of the first book, genuinely clutching at my pearls at some scenes, they just hit so much harder from The Boys' POV - Yes, Yes, a million times yes. This was beautiful! 🖤

If you want your heart to be shredded into tiny pieces, this is the book for you. If you want to sob and scream, to hate the fate the stars have laid out for these guys; read on. I recommend reading this after book 3 or 4 or Zodiac Academy. Don’t read this immediately after Book 1.

I read this alongside The awakening and it made the bullying seem alot less harsh when you hear it from the boys point of view. It was really good and I can’t help but still love all their characters.

This is the first book in the Zodiac series but told from the boys POV.I was definitely curious before I started reading. I didn't believe it would change much for me though. Well I was wrong. Not only did this help remind me of how mean and manipulative the boys were back in the beginning but it shed light on the boys character development and sometimes quick change of heart in later books.The story picked up pace and quickly became an unputdownable page turner for me. The last 10% in particular was captivating and illuminating.I also felt there were a few breadcrumbs being dropped for later books. So I'm going to go for a full series so far reread!This is definitely a welcome addition and hopefully a sign that we may see more of the books from the boys POV soon!

If you’ve ever read a book and thought ‘ I’d love to know what the other main characters thought about this’ then you’ll understand why I’m so excited about one of my favourite series being released with different points of view.Book one of Zodiac Academy is told from Tory and Darcy’s POV, and there were definitely a few times when I needed to know the guys feelings. As always with this writing duo the book had me losing sleep trying to get to my favourite scenes. Although we know the outcome of the first book there was still so much more to learn. Darius, Orion, Max, Caleb and Seth had so much happening behind the scenes. I loved seeing the initiations but from Seth and Darius POV. Seeing some of the friendships from the inside is perfection. Although I was tempted to forgive the guys for some of their harsher bullying because of this book I am still firmly an A.S.S member. Sorry Heirs keep your H.o.r.e.s away.

It was nice, seeing this alternative side to the story. I hugely disliked the boys after reading The Awakening. But reading this version, added more depth and humanity. This helped me feel a speck more understanding, though I 100% do not condone bullying, it helped me feel a little less stressed while reading from their point of view.

I’d forgotten how much the girls went through, now it’s the boys version. Don’t read it until after you have read Zodiac Academy 6 though or it will spoil things for you

Gosto bastante do universo aqui e de alguns personagens, peguei esse livro pra ler porque não consigo continuar o terceiro (de tanto ódio e rancor) e queria tentar ver o outro lado. Não que justifique nada.Acabei levando spoilers do que acontece durante a série e isso acabou atrapalhando minha leitura, mas mesmo lendo esse aqui, continuo gostando apenas do Lance. E um pouquinho do Caleb.Orion é maravilhoso, desde a primeira aparição, e adoro o relacionamento dele com a Darcy – apesar de ter achado que a paixão deles explodiu muito rápido. Foi muito bom ter essa visão mais ampla dos pensamentos e sentimentos dele por ela.Não posso dizer o mesmo sobre os outros. Acabou por me irritar ainda mais. Claro, aqui você lê o que já espera: a pressão que eles recebem da família, o medo de perder, a conexão que alguns deles sentem pelas gêmeas e tal... O problema é que só aumentou minha raiva por eles.Darius é um que não perdoo de nenhum jeito, ele pode rastejar na merd* que não faz diferença.Algumas atitudes deles foram sérias demais, independente da pressão sofrida e blá blá blá eles fizeram essas escolhas, e torci muito pras gêmeas acabarem com eles sem dó, só que infelizmente isso não acontece e já tenho uma ideia de como vai terminar.O livro vai ser bom se algum dos seus personagens favoritos estiver aqui, aí dá pra aproveitar e ter um pouco de "nostalgia", como aconteceu comigo com os pov's do Lance e um tiquinho com os do Caleb.

I read this a year after finishing book 8, and i wish I read it before now. I hated the guys in the Awakening and felt bad to like them more and more during the serie (yes. I hold grudge. no, i’m not sorry). Now I understand their behaviour and see that they were affected by what happened. Thank you for this, Twisted Sisters ! But not really, you always break my little heart

Carino questo libro. Ripropone il primo di questa saga ma dal punto di vista dei ragazzi. Super interessante capire cosa pensavo e perché fanno quello che fanno. Da leggere però dopo il sesto libro secondo me.
