Smooth smoke. True cellulose, I burnt one to test and it leaves nothing but white ash. So it's just as biodegradable as a cardboard crutch. Only downside is it can be tricky to roll such that the filter doesn't come off. My solution it to wet the paper around the filter after rolling. Let it dry and it sticks in there.
