good fit works great BUT it takes a 22mm socket you can NOT use a ratchet or breaker bar
I use this in a VW dealership as a lube tech. It works great but i wish i could use just a ratchet and didn't have to buy a certain socket (22mm) to use along with a ratchet. Just one more tool to put in and out of tool box each time. I recommend having a extra ratchet that you leave the socket on at all times for faster oil changes in a lube tech setting. It measures at 73.7 mm on my cheap calipers, the filter socket the dealer provides for there tech's measures at 74.4 mm with my cheap calipers. So this one is a better fit with less play on the filters and filter housings than the one provided by the dealership for there techs fyi. But it has not been to small to fit one yet....... I also recommend a small brass hammer to smack it off of the filter & filter housings when it gets stuck on them after breaking them loose to try and retrieve your tool back to dispose of the filter/ put filter hosing back in with new filter cartridge.

Top Quality Product
Glad I sprung for the price for a good tool. The one star review is mistaken. Toyota changed the size of their filters by 2 mm and I found the same thing on my 2011 Tacoma. But the Bosch replacement filter I bought is 75 mm like Toyota's used to be and like the tool so all Toyota has done is guarantee I'll never get the oil changed there or buy a genuine Toyota filter, now I've got the old one off. Only 2 mm differences but enough to make it not work; this is where the quality of this tool came in. I snapped off four half-inch pieces of hacksaw blade and stuck them with thick grease to four of the flats inside the tool reducing it from a 75 mm tool to 73 mm on four flats, near enough. The tool being rigid unlike a pressed metal one, gave enough grip to get the old filter off without having to waste money on a second tool. Good tools are usually worth the money. I've ordered a supply of replacement Bosch filters so can throw the bits of blade away.

lol Overall quality seems to be fine. We'll see as time progresses
This fits perfectly on a 2005 clk320's oil filter.Only problem I have is that I had to buy a specific oil filter housing tool.... but that's not the tools fault, that's Mercedes....lolOverall quality seems to be fine. We'll see as time progresses.EDIT:Used this now for our w211. Seems to be holding up. Note that I do not use a ratchet inside the opening, rather I use a socket that goes over the entire exterior portion. I saw someone's review that theirs broke and it looked to me that they used a ratchet that went inside rather than gripping from the outside.I will note that I do have to "tap" this with a small rubber hammer to get it to come loose from the Mercedes filter assembly housing.

Holds up. Works well.
My husband purchased this tool so he would be able to do oil changes on my 2007 VW Rabbit. He previously had purchased other tools from the local auto parts stores but nothing compared to this one. The plastic ones where to easily broken or would strip out at the 1/2" drive connection. He also tried to use the strap wrench from sears. That didn't work either. The issue with the strap is that it had to much give and would not have enough clearance (there was also oil involved which could cause it to slip). Anyway, back on this tool, It works very well. He really likes that he can attach a torque wrench to it. It is very sturdy. We have had it for over a year and no signs of wear. One thing he did noticed is that it is not a very snug fit on the filter housing, so it will stick sometimes. Overall very satisfied.

Manufacturer's compatibility chart incorrect.
This was listed as compatible with my 2004 Toyota Sienna, but it does not fit the Toyota OEM 90915-YZZD1 filters that are spec'd for it. I suggest measuring the particular filter you are going to use and comparing it with the diameter of the cup wrench. The wrench itself seems of good quality. (Turns out the correct wrench for my 2004 Toyota Sienna with 90915-YZZD1 filter is Assenmacher's TOY 730.)

Got the job done when others wouldn't!
I broke a cheaper metal model (the welding came loose), and the plastic Pennzoil one from the local parts store slipped, but this one works so much better! Save yourself the money and buy a good one first. I was able to get an overtorqued filter assembly off of my '99 E320 with the help of a manual impact wrench. The only thing I would change about this one is to make the cup a little deeper. It wanted to slip on the overtorqued filter assembly, but works fine when it's properly torqued.

Excellent tool, especially when trying to get the oil ...
Excellent tool, especially when trying to get the oil filter housing open that first time. I had two other oil filter wrenches that I use for traditional oil filters, and neither would work. This opened up the oil filter housing on my 2015 MB GLK right up. My only complaint is that there was a little bit of play or space between the sides of the wrench and the filter house cap, which did result in a little bit of re-shaping of the plastic filter house lid.

Worked like a charm
With the high cost of changing the oil for my C230, I wanted to give doing this myself a try. I used to change my oil in my younger days. Bought the synthetic oil when it was on sale, bought the filter through the internet at half the cost. This wrench was the only missing tool, I didnt want to get any other wrench which was not specifically made for the C230 oil filter cap. This product worked perfectly. It's made of sturdy metal and fit like a glove. The oil change took a little over 20 mins, saved about $30 in total. Every little bit helps in this economy!
