Cast Iron Plate Weight Plate for Strength Training and Weightlifting, Olympic or Standard, Multiple Sizes

Accurate enough weight, fit the bar well, and does what a weight should.

I needed a couple 2 1/2 pound plates to do some rehab work. I don't expect to have to use them for long, and I already have a good selection of 10, 25 and 45 pound plates, so I wanted to get the least expensive I could find. I have a BalanceFrom / Signature Fitness open trap bar (it says Signature FItness on the bar, but it was listed as BalanceFrom; I expect they're the same company), and at only $9.99, I was happy to try out these plates.Well, I'm satisfied with the 2 1/2 pound plates. They're budget plates, so I had very realistic expectations, which helps. They each weigh just over 2 pounds 8 ounces, which is close enough for me, and they're very close in weight to one another, helpful for balance. There's a sharp spot in the finish of one of them, but this is very common with inexpensive bars and plates, and if it worried you, you can file it off or put tape over it. They had no smells.Here's the thing. I have a couple of supposed 2.5 pound plates from another budget company (no, it's not Cap - we love their Beast Bar), and they're almost half a pound apart in weight, which means one side of a dumbbell is heavier than another, not good if you're doing rehab like I am. So I'm very happy that the Signature Fitness plates are so close to the same weight as one another.So I'm happy I ordered these, They're helping with my recovering injury, and when it comes time to get some 5 pound plates, I'll be ordering from BalanceFrom / Signature Fitness again - they're a very good price and very decent budget plates. I'd say they're 4 star plates but I'm adding an additional star for value.

These work fine. The finish is not the greatest but the price is dirt cheap and they are only 5's. The pictures make them look identical to the standards I got from Rogue for 25's and 10's. In person, you can tell. I'm in the weight is weight camp for the small ones so I am happy with these. They are uniform diameter and they slide on the bar just fine. None of the weights is under 5lb and that's all you can ask for.

I bought four 5 lb plates for my spin lock dumbbells. These have 1 inch holes, so they are not intended for Olympic bars. These plates are fairly thin compared to my other plated, about 1/2 inch thick. This is a good feature because you can load more on the dumbbell handle. The diameter is about the size of my vintage Weider 10lb plate, about 8 inches. You cannot beat the price at $1 per lb.

I'm happy with the product. Nice looking. Arrived promptly. I have no regrets about buying, especially at $1/lb. There are some places on the plates where the enamel is chipped, though. Is there a way to touch that up? Maybe use black nail polish or something? Or is there a patch kit I could buy. I don't want to return them, I think that would be unreasonable. I just want to patch the places where the enamel is chipped. Any ideas?

Awesome plates, Be sure to read the fine print. 120.00 for 2 45lb was way to good to be true! Awesome plates non the less.

They're bleedin' huge, look great on my bench press with the highlighted writing, great when i bring sexy women back to my place and they're like "wow do you lift all that" and I'm like "yeah baby" lol.
