Mom and Me Cookbook

Great for older kids
This is a great little cook book. It has some great recipes. I would say this fits more of a 5+ year old. I bought this so me and my three year old could make some fun recipes together but a lot of these require more ingredients and time than I’d like. Would be better to have more simple starter recipes that have 3-4 ingredients that are easier for children to do without so much help. We will definitely be using it but it will grow with her as she gets older.

I like this cookbook for preschool aged children who do not yet read because there are pictures of the ingredients. We can explore the recipe and instructions together vs me reading to my son. The recipes are appropriate for cooking with my 3 year old.My criticism is that beyond the obvious gender bias of the title, the children pictured are mostly female. I chose this book because it was the best I found with illustrations that a 3 year old could understand, but wish there were a version with less of a gender bias.

Cute cookbook.
We purchased this cookbook for my daughter and granddaughter because they do a lot of cooking together. I love the visual guide for the kids since my granddaughter is four and learning to read. However, I didn't give it 5 stars because some of the recipes seemed a little time consuming and I don't know how often they will be made given their busy schedules. It is a cute cookbook though and I'm sure they will enjoy some of the recipes.

Great first cookbook
My sister in law loves to cook so when my nieces 4th birthday came around we figured this would be good for both of them to spend quality time together. The book is a fair size hardcover that illustrates the ingredients and the directions. Its great to form literacy and learn how to follow a recipe. I'm not sure how the food tastes but some of the recipes sound delish.

Not for useful things. There are a couple recipes for things ...
I've bought annabel karmel before and I should have known. but I somehow didn't remember. This isn't a useable cookbook really. Not for useful things. There are a couple recipes for things like spaghetti that are usable. Scrambled eggs (although I don't add milk to my eggs). Kiddo is super excited about making popsicles and mouse potatoes. Which okay, yes, mouse potatoes are cute.. but she doesn't like potatoes and frankly, I'd prefer to just make mashed potatoes rather than prepare radish ears, etc. Just want a cookbook with normal recipes that gets kids feeling included in the kitchen. This is not it. This is a book that acts like pinterest - making you feel bad for the fact that you don't normally make every food item look like an animal or something.

Mother - daughter bonding
My granddaughter is a very picky eater. Nevertheless she is curious about food preparation and tends to eat parts of meals that she has helped to prepare. This book contains simple recipes of foods that children generally like to eat. There are simple instructions about ingredients, measurements, safety, etc. Presentation is included, also. For instance, carrot slices and other accouterments can be laid atop twice baked potatoes to look like little mice. We might groan, but the children love it. I think this is a great buy for the 7 - 10 group.

I would love a cookbook for kids that has more healthy based recipes. This one isn't bad...great beginner. But there are quite a few recipes I'll skip right over with my daughter. It's a good start for her to get to know cooking terms and measurements since there are pictures. It's a great entry level cookbook.

22 recipes total 11 for sweets
22 kids recipes. Nice pictures. 11 of the recipes were for sweets not actual meals but there was a couple of kid friendly dinners as well which was fun. Good pictures.

Ok
Nice photos and ok instructions but expected much better. Have tried 3 recipes so far and cookie dough recipe was a bit of a fail despite following every step. Good momento for my daughter and I.

Quality time with my mom baking!
This was a gift for my grandson to give to his mother on her birthday. Which she loves. My daughter-in-law and grandson often bake together, so this gift was perfect!

Cute book
The pictures and font are really engaging for kids. I'm not sure how the actual recipes are, but knowing my daughter said she can't wait to cook and bake with her mom makes it more than worth it.
