Just replaced an entry level bar mixer in my new house and it's like night and day with a vastly superior flow rate.For anyone who is interested I have a flow rate to my bathroom taps of approximately 15 litres/min, a combi boiler that outputs up to 15.2 litres/min hot water and a water pressure of just over 3 bar at the kitchen sink.I was previosuly getting about 7 litres/min with the old shower, now I'm getting the full 15 litres/min with this Grohtherm 1000.I had a Grohtherm 3000 in my previous house and loved it too, it's a better finish than the 1000 and has a nicer mechanism for adjusting the water flow but I didn't want to pay the additional cost this time and I'm very happy with the 1000.

Perfectly good but more “plasticky” than I’d hoped/expected - the controls don’t have a “quality” feel about them.Uses the infernal Grohe S-union system. This must work in Germany somehow but getting the normal mounting elbow to protrude through the tile backing and tiles far enough isn’t easy. I noticed Grohe USA have various additional “easy adapters” suggesting they acknowledge the normal system is a bit of a faff. Make sure you wrap the s-Union with plenty of PTFE taps too. In a world full of push-fit plumbing and other nice engineering solutions, wrapping BSP unions in loads of tape seems 19th century - we’ll be using flax or horse hair next.

less than a year after we installed it, the soap dish attachment cracked and fell off. Grohe sent us a new one. This has now failed in exactly the same way 10 months after we received it. Poor quality design which, for a company of this quality, should not be the case. Disappointing.

I installed this product 12 months ago and from the start the shower head was leaking. Temperature, waterflow and visual presentation is good. But after every use the shower head leaked water for around 30 seconds, not just a few drops. I clean my shower after every use but this issue makes that a waste of time. The leaking can occur at any time, sometimes 5 minutes after a shower, sometimes 6 hours after a shower. I approached Grohe with this but they are not interested in solving anything, just stupid questions about water pressure and installation. Overall, would not buy again.

Great shower, good temperature control and flow, but the hose is really stiff and moving the shower head when on the wall is difficult. It also makes a motor sound when working. Nevertheless, I haven’t used it long enough but I’m really happy with the flow and the instant temperature control.

Great shower. Loses a star because when I turn it off the dial is quite soft. In previous showers I’ve hard there’s a clear, distinct point where shower is off. My concern is just that I’d turn it off too far, and cause a leak - as you can with taps I think.Other than that, perfect shower.

Had to return this...Got it as we have low pressure (gravity fed), but with this we barely had decent pressure. Shower was a huge disappointment.

Superb shower mixer. Our old mixer couldn’t hold temperature, pressure and kept cutting boiler out. This has resolved all those problems. You can tell it’s a quality product on handling and use.
