Nasty
Don’t buy! They had the consistency of bologna and are extremely skinny. They don’t even taste like meat it taste more like a veggie stick maybe from all the soy they put in it. I had hoped that these would taste like the Jared version and I’m extremely disappointed. Had I seen photos of the actual product I would have never placed these in my cart to order.

The product was good
Liked the product however instead of 50 I got 49. I don’t usually count it, but because I was dividing it up I did.

... keto snack but didn't know which one I would enjoy the most
So I recently bought 3 different brands of hot sausages because I needed them for a quick keto snack but didn't know which one I would enjoy the most. Soooooo, you all get to benefit from my experiment! The brands I purchased were Herb's, Penrose and Hannah's. Here's what I think:Overall, all of the boxes came kind of beat up. That's okay for my home use. If you wanted to use these for some kind of display, like in an office, you would need something else to put them in because the boxes would be tacky with how beat up they are!#1 - Herb's, hands down, was the best sausage! Of the 3, it had the best flavor (a strong spicy flavor without overwhelming heat) and texture. Made with beef and chicken in cause you're wondering. The box came in the best shape and it's expiration date was the furthest out (April, 2019). I don't think I'll need sausages again EVER, but if I do, it will be Herb's without hesitation.#2 - Really tough choice but I'm going to go with Penrose. Made with chicken and pork. Flavor was right on with Herb's but the texture was kinda off. Hard to explain but just kinda felt more processed/fake (I know, I know, they're all processed...). The texture completely through me off though. The box was the most damaged and the expiration date the closest (November 2018)#3 - Again, probably more of a tie with Penrose. The texture was fine but it's lacking in flavor. Perhaps it's missing a few things from the seasoning package. Made with chick and beef. Box was okay, but still damaged. Expiration March 2019.Ultimately, there's really only one option for me. If Herb's is OOS, I just won't be buying sausages. I'm spoiled. Either the best or nothing!

Just like Grandma used to make. If her name was Hannah. And they were tear-jerkingly hot, non-pork sausages!
Actually, this was a gift for a friend. How close of a friend, you ask? And for what occasion did she so richly deserve these pork-free snausages? Well, I'll leave the first question as an exercise for the reader - and answer the second with "Because she WANTED them." Also, it was a belated birthday present - and nothing says "Congratulations on completing another orbit around the sun!" like gas station impulse foods. But the gift was well-received. So much so that she consumed - oh, let's say $3.50 worth in an evening. Now THAT'S good snacking.Hannah's Hot Sausages. Enjoy them despite what your doctor says!
