Our balcony has no outlets and I have wasted money on solar lights that rarely worked or battery-operated lights that fizzled after a week. These lovelies have run through multiple patterns, made it all the way from Thanksgiving to New Years on the three included AAA batteries, and they are still sparkling. Remote works well from a reasonable distance. A keeper. Great value for a small price. I think I'll keep them up all year!

I think these are actually pretty awesome. Like most reviewers, I was expecting a much cheaper-looking product due to the price, but they seem pretty sturdy! I think the string is pretty long, and it fit around my whole dining area and into the kitchen. I would consider buying the clear command hooks along with these string lights for effortless hanging. You need 3 AA batteries. The battery pack has a hanger which is super helpful, as I was hanging mine up high with no real place to conceal it. The remote with several light settings is a super plus. My only gripe is that they are a little more dim than I was expecting, but they are really just to add to the ambience, not light the whole room.

I wanted some lights to put up in my bedroom both for when I want a little glow and to help with some anxiety things. These are exactly what I needed. I wanted lights soft enough that they wouldn't keep me awake, and these are just that. They give off a nice soft light that you can dim even more. I also love the timer feature. When active, it automatically turns the lights on at the same time every night. They stay on for six hours and then off for 18. As a bonus, it's a nice signal to me that it's time to go to bed.The strand is short, but since I'm putting them on the wall around my headboard, that works well for me. I wouldn't want a lot of excess to have to deal with.Some of the settings are nicer than others for me. The two options that basically create a slow on and off glow are very cool. I wish there was a little more variation in the flashing speeds but I'm not really planning on ever having them flash so that doesn't matter that much to me. They do seem to only go fast though if you care about the flashing features.The battery pack is easy to open and load. It also has an attached plastic loop so that you can hang it on a nail or small hook. It's compact enough that hiding it behind a canvas or thick frame wouldn't be impossible if you wanted to.The remote is easy to operate. However, the different settings for the lights are printed on the battery pack. I think they'd probably be more useful printed on the remote or even a separate sheet of paper, but there aren't a million combinations so it's easy enough to remember your favorites. Or to hit the buttons until you find the one you want.With all that said, these lights probably won't fit everyone's needs. If you're looking for that bright LED glow that you get with the newer Christmas string lights, these definitely aren't it. If you're looking to use these as the primary source of light for an outdoor dinner party, these probably won't work for that either.However, if all you need is some soft mood lighting and a little bit of a happy glow, these are excellent.

They are quite nice, I would have given it 5 stars but they're not very bright like they show in the pictures. I know you can dim them up and down but at max brightness, it doesn't come close to anything they provided. I was surprised by how small they actually are, but they have a picture comparing it so that's okay. I personally wish they were a tad bigger and much brighter. But for the price they're great. If you expect to pair them up with other light sources they'll look dim in contrast. They are best if they are alone in a dark room.

Ok, these lights are a great bargain for the price! Wireless remote has several different settings and functions and even a dimmer switch for just the right amount of light. Though plastic, the bulb's have a nice glass appeal to them and look great strung up across our yard. I bought three sets and was hoping for just enough quality to get us through our function, but was pleasantly surprised to get so much more than i bargained for. My best purchase in months!!

We installed 5 strings of these outside to light our path to our fire pit and all around it. They were inexpensive and looked great for about a year. After that the strings began to snap in half and lights began to fall off. All 5 strings needed to be replaced.If you’re wanting to use these outdoors, plan on replacing them every year. Spend more if that sounds like a waste of time and money.If you’re wanting to use these indoors, I’d imagine you’ll get several years out of them.The remote controls are very basic, but you can use one to control several strands (just have to point it at each battery pack one at a time).

These lights are amazing. I hung them over my bed and they're bright enough to just have the lights on and I can still see everything in my room. The remote has 8 different settings and you can change the brightness as well. I leave them on all day and have had them for about a month and they still work really well. I love that they're USB insert as well so I can just plug it into any USB port and they work. Highly recommend if you're looking for some cheap lights to brighten up a room!Update: Over a year later and these are still going strong!

I ordered two of these. I put batteries in and tested them before I went through the work of hanging them on our porch. They were bright and just what I was looking for. But after they were hung, one strand worked, but was very dim, even after trying to adjust the brightness level. The other strand stopped working completely. Tried battery changes and different settings. Nothing worked. A waste of money, time, and effort.
