1000 Crickets - Small (2wk) 1/4" (Banded Cricket)

The crickets arrived in good order- of course hard to judge the actual count with an order of 1,000, but looks about right- only thing I would improve is that the shipper just puts them inside of the shipping box with egg crate, there is no inner mesh bag, so when you open the box, you had better have it down inside of the permanent keeper box, or there will be a bunch of escapees, they are pretty hard to recapture at this size.

Only about 20 crickets came alive out of 500, I can see a lot of dead ones, maybe not enough in the box to ship.

My crickets arrived early- I was quoted to receive the package August 3rd, so I was getting worried, considering I placed the order on July 22nd (And having it shipped 07/23). I've had some bad experiences in the past with ordering crickets online, so I was a little skeptical.However, I was pleasantly surprised to see they arrived today, with 85-90% alive. They are a tad smaller than I expected (ordered .25", most received were about an eighth-inch), but in a week or so, they will be just right (with food and water, of course). In the images, they have been mixed with the larger, remaining survivors from my last cricket purchase.I'm overall thrilled with my purchase, and will likely be back.The quality of the packaging, the number that survived, and the shipping impressed me, thank you!

The crickets were not enclosed. I opened the package and they came hopping out. I definitely don't think there were 1000 in the box.

Almost all arrived dead. There were also less than half of what was ordered in the box. Random bugs were in the box as well... Some types of weevils/beetles and other larvae. Those hithikers are pretty much the only survivors other than the 5 crickets that are currently alive (they arrived today and that is all that is alive out of what I got). I ordered the 1000 and was lucky to get 500. Very bad! Also beware that these are put in a box with egg carton and no other barrier or packaging! If they are alive, bugs and crickets everywhere!

The media could not be loaded.  Lots of death in the box.. didn't notice how much until I dumped them into my cricket enclosure also there where spiders and beetles At first I just figured the Beatles that were in the box were part of a cleanup crew... Then I watched one start to give birth to a white tubular parasite. Quickly removed it from the enclosure that I keep my crickets in and pulled a half inch out before finally just crushing the beetle to see how big this thing was.Buyer beware. Update half of what showed up alive died withing 18 hours.
