Panasonic KX-TGA405B1 Range Extender for Dect 6.0 Plus Cordless Phones, Black

Having read all of the reviews, I felt like this was going to be a risky purchase in terms of the technology delivering on its promise. I put faith in Amazon's return policy and ordered it anyway. I am very pleased with the results.I went to the panasonic web site and followed their instructions for registering it with the base unit. It took less than a minute. I use this with 6 cordless phones (1 base unit and 5 satelite units). All units are registered and work perfectly. The base unit is in the basement, co-located with the cable modem. This extender is located on the first floor, opposite end of the house. I have 5 satelite corded phone scatted across the 1st and second floors. Everything works perfect, and we can have several phones active at one time (for conefernce calling feature). This did improve the signal strength of the phone system. Very happy

Works great to extend cordless phones across distances in your home. Tucks away nicely in a closet mid-way between where we need the phones to work well and the signal picks up easily. No issues with interference. Was pretty quick and straight-forward to install. Didn't run into any issues with setup.

My parents have Panasonic DECT phones and they were constantly having problems where the phone would lose the signal from the base. I own the same phones and our houses are quite similar. My parents have the base unit upstairs, which should give them better call quality than my base which is on our first floor, but as I said they constantly had dropped calls. We tried another Panasonic set and had the same problem so I was pretty sure there had to be some sort of interference in their house.The next time I was over I took out my Android phone and did a Wifi search and found that there were a LOT of wireless access points in their area. Your average wireless router for your computer actually uses the same frequencies that the DECT phones use so there was no doubt in my mind that was where the problems were coming from.I bought this unit and plugged it in on their kitchen counter, paired with the unit and noticed that it was having a problem keeping a steady link to the base. Luckily, you can easily see this by the color of the LED on the front of the unit. I moved the device to an outlet on the kitchen counter that was a bit closer to the base upstairs and was able to get a solid green showing a good connection. My parents have now been without a dropped call when using their DECT phones in the kitchen or on the level below so this device is working quite well for them.Overall, if you are having a problem with calls losing their connection or need to get a bit more range out of your Panasonic DECT phone system than this should be quite helpful. Recommended.

this product only works some of the time. I cannot pinpoint what the problem is I have moved it closer to home base twice and still has amber light most of the time

Does not work with a Panasonic KX-TG6502 phone system - what was really bad was Panasonic's customer service - next to useless chat system with someone who did not know the product lines and the only way to speak with someone was to pay a $10.00 service fee. Last Panasonic product I buy. Sad - they used to be a good product company I thought.

This unit has worked exceptionally well since I received and installed it last June (2017).I guess the best way to say it is that I have completely forgotten it was there.Previous to installing this I was seeing line drops several times a week.On a business line that was unacceptable.The existing phone used to work fine throughout the house but over time began to have signal loss as I passed through several different rooms.Adding this unit resolved that issue.

We had a problem with the cordless phone in our front room dropping calls. This unit resolved the issue. The only issue we had was that it was a little tricky to get it to initially connect to the base unit. Went on line and found detailed instructions. Once connected we have not had any issues.

I just received this item today, so I will have to see how good it is. The instructions are fricking Stupid!! I had to bounce back and forth on the internet before I was able to get it to stay green. The manual doesn't tell you to go to the base and hit your intercom button to basically get these to sink to each other. And of course, there is no phone number to call and ask a direct question! This so called world of technology is going to fail one day, and all this electronic junk will be useless! What ever happened to good ole customer service?

Works well. It took a few minutes to pair with my cordless base. I bought two, but received only one - vendor has promised to ship the other.Updated - second unit arrived. Looks like it was a return from another customer, but it was in good as new shape and works perfectly.

Product is good, Super easy to setup and it is working well. I needed it for signal booster, since we have two part of property and having block and brick wall.Now I'm not missing any call:)

This range extender made a difference in using the downstairs phone.It is crisp and clear whereas before it was low in volume in the ringer and receiver.
