I used this fish hook for saltwater fishing by MD and DE Pier.Caught countless Tautog and Stripe Bass.It hooks well and doesn't break easily, I had to cut the line a couple of times because it would get caught between the rocks and I couldn't break it off.Fish I caught was around 15-25lbs so definitely can handle the weight and fight the fish gives.Tautogs give a huge fight, so you can imagine.I would recommend to anyone who has been fishing and ready for a durable hook.I would say it is more or less overdoing it if you are going fishing once and need some hooks.

I purchased these as size 2/0 to tie crawler harnesses for walleye.They seem really sturdy so far, no issues with breakage. They seem sharp out of the bagOne thing I have noticed is that maybe 10-20% of them don't have the top bend in the hook near the eye. The shaft is straight. For my purposes, this bend isn't vital, but if you require that explicit shape for it to function, expect every 1 in 5-10 to not have that bend.Given the volume of hooks in the bag and the price even if that particular bend was vital, it is still an incredible value and I would purchase them again.

Reeling in a medium sized striper yesterday I had the fish near the boat. He went to make a run and all of a sudden he was gone. Normally the case was he spit the hook or wasn’t properly hooked. But when I reeled in the hook was broken in half!2 stars bc this is he first time it happened and it could be a bad hook in the bunch.I love amazon but with some of the products (fishing, razors to name a couple) you never know quite what you’re getting.

Looks like a decent product.Usually the dehooker tells me right away if it's good steel, haven't had a chance to use it. But it is thick enough that I'm not worried about la ding saltwater fish

Hooks work very great use them for striped bass we caught 30 some were too small but the hook as good a little big but just right

Not too bad for the price. I don’t think they are very corrosion resistant but I’ll be making sea bass rigs for wreck fishing and plan to lose quite a few. Time will tell how they hook up.
