I ordered these to remove the clutter of multiple pepper grinders. Because they are clear, I can tell the difference between my black pepper, white pepper, and multi-color pepper with different grinders. The ability to change the grind from fine grind to varying degrees of more coarsely ground pepper is helpful for cooking and for personal preference. Because these were inexpensive, I was impressed with both the look and the functionality for the price.

I use it every day. It operates smoothly, I have no issues turning the grinder and getting pepper out. It's durable feeling in my hands and grind the peppercorns effectively.**Edit**So I used this peppercorn grinder for a few months before it broke while grinding. I didn't drop it. I didn't treat it poorly. I was grinding it over food and a piece cracked and fell out. It's now unusable and I'm sorely disappointed.

Holds plenty of peppercorns, easy to use.Construction feels a little on the cheaper side when grinding, but it works.you can change the coarseness, but the wheel gets loose over time and essentially changes the coarseness setting.Bought as a replacement for a similar one that the grinder came apart into the food I was grinding the pepper onto.Easy maintenance though and good for fresh cracked pepper

I was looking for a grinder I could use with some of my favorite store bought spices with the built-in grinders that wear out quickly, but this is actually worse! It couldn’t handle garlic salt from Trader Joes and clogged or failed to grind the larger salt flakes. Going in the recycle bin as I missed the return window. Wished it worked as good as it looks.

After being well pleased with the way these grind both salt &pepper, on one the aluminum cone separated from the black plastic part that actually rotres the grinding part. Grasping just the edge of the black part to grind is not acceptable. I did discover that I could repair it by pulling down on the aluminum cone I could open up a gap between it and the black plastic part. Using a toothpick I could put quick setting epoxy in the gap and then push it back together to make a good glue joint. A little isopropyl alcohol on a rag cleans off the excess glue before it cures. Better than not working but the supplier needs to fix their quality control to avoid such problems. Or they could replace them even beyond the Amazon return window.
