Is this too easy for an almost 5 year old? Hoping for more than 10 minutes of puzzles.

So this is a difficult question to answer for the simple reason of differentiating development levels. But for example, if you have a child that is at the "appropriate" 5 yr development level then I would imagine they would still have fun with this. If they are developmentally "behind" they may struggle with it. I bought this one (Kanoodle Jr.) For my 3 yr old which was born at 25 weeks so he is a bit behind in areas and he isnt quite capable of figuring it out fully. However, I also bought the regular Kanoodle 3D for my 10 yr old which is exceptionally ahead and he can sit forever working on one. All in all, it's a great puzzle to have around and a great convenience starter. The adults that have come into our home have had a great time with the Jr and the 3D!

Is this good for An almost six year old or should I go with the non junior version

The beginning puzzles will be very easy. However, the difficulty increases as you work through the manual. There are plenty of challenges for my five year old. I would start with this edition.

Question 3

The video makes it seem like all you do is mirror the colors on the sheet you slide underneath. Is it more complex than that?

There are blank squares too. You have to infer which piece goes where and how to orient each one based on the combination of colors and blank squares on the sheet below. Each sheet gets harder the later in the booklet that it is. This set is great for younger children. I’d say 2-7. For children over 8, I’d recommend Kanoodle, which is more complex than Kanoodle Jr. We have both and love them.
