Good news and bad news
First, the good news about the Zayookey Self-Adhesive House Number: Its high-end appearance is fully backed up by its cast construction using an attractive metal alloy. Now for the bad news: the supplied adhesive mounting strips are less than useless. I say that because you will be required to expend some effort cleaning up the mess they leave behind when they fall off within a few days. The strips are of a cheap, white double-stick foam applied to a metal strip (apparently) welded to the back side of the number. The adhesive on the foam strips is totally inadequate for the weight of the 4" numbers and can easily detach from either the metal strips or the surface you choose to mount the number on. In the case of the number in the attached photo, the adhesive strip remained affixed to the mounting surface, but detached from the metal strip, so this is not a matter of improper preparation of the mounting surface. You will also note that the number is not solid, which complicates devising a new method of remounting it. I continue to recommend the item, but strongly suggest that you make no attempt to use the supplied mounting strips if your numbers are more than an inch, or so, high. My current plan is to clean the residue of the while foam adhesive strips from the metal strips, then apply a 2-part epoxy to them. The surface of those strips is approximately half a millimeter below the edge of the number, so it should be possible to apply a sufficient amount of epoxy while allowing the back of the number to be flush with the mounting surface. By they way, the supplied adhesive strips are thicker than this difference, so it is impossible to mount the numbers without leaving a gap between the mounting surface and the back of the numbers -- undesirable for any number of reasons.
