Don't Buy Phony Silver and Reward Thieves!
This garbage isn't even next door to silver! Far less turquoise, spiny oyster or anything else the above ad copy claims these earrings to be. I don't understand the positive reviews, and won't comment on them. I will only say that, for my own part, I've never before seen on Amazon a computer-generated "picture" that was a bigger lie, or farther away from what I got. The earrings in hand are larger, uglier, and definitely some sort of plastic, both setting and stone. For me, this is getting out of hand. Last week, wanting a tiny pair of turquoise earrings for my second piercing, I ordered some "Zuni" studs from Gem Avenue, and was appalled, when they arrived, to see they were some sort of weird plastic. At least they were cute, which is more than I can say for these. But I've been making my own jewelry for years, and I've seen this Chinese garbage develop, from tin-plate to phony coins to this, which is hard as pig iron but still seems to be poured into some sort of mold. For those who are allergic, I've heard it can be loaded with nickel, and God knows what else. It certainly isn't contaminated by the presence of any silver.I thought, at the brazen price of thirty dollars, with silver stagnant at seventeen an ounce, that I was probably getting the real thing, or at least silver plate and pretty faux stones. Now, I've begun to wonder if anyone is. Trump claims he wants to do something about this, and maybe he will. I'd love to see some of these thieves punished. I've read of some payback, here and there - the image of a Federal raid on an upscale Santa Fe jewelry store to confiscate the phony Calvin Begay they were selling is almost comic. Or it would be, until you find out how much this Chinese junk is damaging Native Americans who make and sell jewelry. Yes, I'll get a refund from Amazon, though I've heard they've begun to punish people who make "too many returns," whatever that means. But I intend to go on trying to get hold of someone at Amazon and make them listen. Someone needs to take some sort of action against these vendors, who are certainly aware of what they're selling. It's bad enough to see the attitude on ebay, which comes down to "Come on! Of course it's phony. What did you expect for that price?" I'll tell you what I expect - I expect them to SAY SO. There's no crime in selling faux turquoise. The crime is in stamping it 925 and hanging it from a card that says "Sterling Silver."

These are beautiful for second hole earrings
Posts are a little long but I always take earrings off before bed anyway. I have very sensitive ears and I always have to apply vaseline to posts before putting on but I didn't do it the other day and these earrings never bothered me. I was quite surprised.Because I wear mostly in my second hole on my ears I wish they were just slightly smaller but they are still beautiful.
