Bakers & Chefs Light Brown Sugar - 7 lb. bag

Delicious flavor, fresh & delivered very quickly. The resealable bag is a HUGE plus. Great staple to have on hand - I bake a lot of homemade wheat bread which calls for light brown sugar, so the larger size is a must for us. Great price, good purchase all around.

This is a fairly good quality brown sugar. I used it for baking some of my holiday goods, and currently I use it for my water kefir. My water kefir likes it a lot, which means it has enough natural minerals in it. It was fairly reasonably priced as well.

What is there to say about sugar? This brown sugar was well-priced and came quickly exactly as described. It's some good sugar.

In my area, about 75% again more than the store, but still the best deal I found here on a smallish bag currently if you're making an order of similar stuff online anyway.Many staples like this are coming to the point of approaching supermaket pricing, even delivered items of some 10-25lbs and even beyond. There are some flours, for an extreme example, at 5lb actually significantly less expensive here than in my area. With respect to what it takes to offer that, it's always useful when any staple reaches that point.Happy with the order, and Baker's & Chefs were really fast too. In general with brown sugar here, will still have my eyes open for supermarket-comparable pricing.

The granules are not as loose as typical white sugar but tastes as good. I am not using it for baking but as a replacement for white sugar. The viscosity of the granules also prevent spillage of sugar over your desk when adding a teaspoon or 2 to your daily cuppa.

The sugar came hard as a rock. the plastic bag looks like it has been rubbed a lot in stacking in a warehouse I think letting air in causing the hard sugar. Some of it I am able to chisel off and break up but most of it I can't get to budge with out breaking the bag. Even then I am having trouble with it. I even tried putting a clump in the microwave that helped a little bit. I am not saying all of the bags will be this way but mine was. It makes it hard to measure out as is.
