Advanced Platinum Series P4-XML2 380w 12-band LED Grow Light + CREE 10w XM-L2 w/ DUAL VEG/FLOWER FULL SPECTRUM, grey

I thought this would be a good veg light...Boy was I wrong. The PAR distribution is very poor. If my edges are at 200 or so umoles, while the center is around 750...wow...Spectrum seems good, although not equally distributed.. The crees are very overpowering. If I don't run them, the growth is so slow that it extends veg time significantly. Not a well spent $500...should have put it towards the lower powered fluence light. Have this for about 18 months, so this review is based on real experience...Do not recommend purchase.

This light is amazing, very well made plants love it. It is heavy. I will be harvesting peppers and other vegetables in February. Growing expensive ornamental plants in winter is no problem. I did a lot of research before choosing platinum very pleased with this light.

Amazing! More terpine and oil production, solid bud structure, just keep your canopy tight and save on that $$. Will be switching my whole setup to these ASAP

getting great growth in my grow tent. really healthy plants. might save up for a second one. I actually wish it would put out more heat.

Arrived just in time for a botanical bloom. Works very well. I like the boost. May order another one.

I've grown 100's of species of plants indoors for terrariums, aquariums, orchids, and cannabis. These lights are awful. A cheap t5 or t8 will provide much better results. Im an idiot for trusting "Top ten best LEDs for 2018" on productiongrower.com. Everyone of those lights mentioned is trash. For LED's look into anything using the small samsung diodes, like fluence, horticulture lighting group, chilled grow lights...you will not regret those I promise. Or better yet build your won if you are handy, plenty of cheap quantum boards led bars available with samsung diodes available. I'm usually too lazy to leave reviews but this product is exceptionally bad. Amazon reviews aren't as trustworthy as they used to be. Thanks Amazon.

I bought the P380 a couple of years ago and found it doesn’t come close to being a decent grow light. Flourescent grow lights worked better, metal halide much better. These lights use as much or probably more electricity than metal halide and yields of MMJ are very poor. A grower told me he has heard from others, LEDs are a disappointment for MMJ. The light is beautifully made, but is only useful for a decoration.. The price has gone up incredibly and it wasn’t worth what I paid for it—maybe about $300.

I ordered one of the P4-XML2 lights a year and a half ago. It has preformed flawlessly through 2 grows so far. I did have one of the cooling fans fail but it didn't hurt the performance and after a call to their customer support a replacement (cooling fan) was shipped to me the next day. I replaced it myself as it's a very simple job although returning it for repair was an option I was given. I was so pleased with the light that I ordered another and now have two of them operating and still am able to control the temperature in my grow room easily. I would recommend anyone considering these lights to check out the Platinum LED website and watch their videos about the lights. I would recommend these lights to anyone.
