Jiffy Natural & Organic Seed Starting Soil Mix, 16 QT

I’ve been using this mix all growing season and it’s incredible . Nearly all my seeds germinate and it holds moisture for a good amount of time and I live in Texas ! I’m not sure what these other reviews are speaking of … this seriously works amazing . I have tons of yummy meals from veggies I started in this so thank you !!

I had used this product in the past with great success, but this bag was full of sticks and debris. Not only that, but the cost was 3 times as much as our local big box store. I thought it was a bigger bag, but nope. Same thing I got for significantly less $ elsewhere, and the quality was very poor this year on every bag.

This is the only seed starting mix I will use anymore. It's a good deal for the amount you get and organic. It's worked with all the seeds I've germinated over the last 2 years, so I'm sold!I review hundreds of products I buy on Amazon and rely on reviews from others a lot too. I paid full price for this as always. I only review items I really need or want. I only rate items 5 stars if I would pay full price for it or be willing to give them as a gift. I do give 1 star (since you can't give 0) to items which are so bad that I throw away or wouldn't want even if free. I try to mention all the pros and cons of products, because I check reviews often for the hundreds of items I buy online. This is a nice product at a good price. I appreciate that it's organic. I needed more starter mix after using up the bag of Jiffy that I bought so I purchased another brand, and I noticed that it had a mildewy odor, which this product did not. Pleased with the purchase.

I have used this for fig tree starting and seed starting. It is very difficult to wet and once it dries it's hard to rewet it. It's better mixed with alot of perlite but as it comes straight out of the bag it's difficult to use.
