Great quality
I have always been a big fan of Parker Pens, yet after years of use with a fine nub, I decided to purchase a medium with a gift card. Glad I did. Writes fast and very smooth. Ink disperses quickly.

a steel pen with contemporary looks
I bought this pen solely for the purpose of seeing for myself how thick should a medium line look like? I had purchased another Parker 45 NOS Medium nib from Amazon earlier. Because all of my previously purchased fountain pens has a Fine nib, I wasn't sure if the thick line I'm seeing from that Parker 45 is "normal" or not.Well I got my answer - according to my own collection of fountain pens, it seems that a medium point nib would at first show very thick lines, even thicker than Broad (from nib comparison charts). This usually happens right after it gets inked. It had happened to my Jinhao X450, my wife's Diplomat, W&B, Cross Bailey, the Parker 45 (all purchased from Amazon, and now the Jotter. What to do? Don't panick into thinking your pen is bad. Just store the pen nib pointing upwards, and start writing. Some Youtube video shows how to make a wet pen drier, or how to make a dry pen wetter - but remember steel is rigid and has a memory! I noticed that after I have used the med nib pen, the lines start to get thinner. Now all of the med nibs in the household write normally, not like the original super broad lines when they were first out of their box.And now, just like some commenters said on Reddit - your taste in nib size can and will change!I started out favoring Fine, XF, avoided Med. Now I appreicate the Med nib's characteristic to "float" across even cheap paper where a Fine would be scratchy and squeaky, XF would "trip over". One just has to loose the old hard handed habbits learned from using ball point pen & roller balls. This Parker FP w/ Med writes well, and it's sturdy. I like a steel pen with contemporary looks.

Nice Completement to Jotter and Mech Pencil
Finish and fit are fine. Complete my set of SS Jotter writing implements. Installed long cartridge that came with the pen and after a few minutes the ink was flowing. Unlike other cartridges there's no snap sound to tell you it's seated. Wrote fine and ink flowed was good. Skipped a few times but figured it was new. Left it overnight and the nib would not feed. Took the cartridge off, stood it upright, then flushed out the nib and ink channel. Let dry and reinstalled the cartridge. Working fine since. So it does need a flush out before installing ink cartridge or converter.

Classic and Classy
just the most classic pen perhaps of all time. Pure class and understatement. Not bulky and huge like some other pens which will remain nameless. So awesome for conference gifts. Reminds me I need to order some more
