Our granddaughter loved her jewelry box kit! It’s so nice that it’s something that she can keep n remember for a very long time! Perfect for a 9 year old. Not too complicated but not too childish either.

She had a ton of fun with this, but we ended up using our own paint because the ones provided are very sheer and you can see the wood through it. Even multiple coats wouldn't have worked. But otherwise it was fun and she loved it!

7 year old niece loved this. Lots of shells and sparkly stuff-box made well.

We liked everything except the paint which was awful. I bought some acrylic paint from Amazon and they were perfect. Kids got to pick their own colors, too. I also bought better brushes.

This kit came with everything to make a very pretty one of a kind jewelry box. There are two different paint colors with a paint brush to paint the bare wooden box. Then there are a variety of simulation gemstones, pearls, glitter and seashells in different colors and sizes that can be glued onto the box, however your little creator wants. I picked up some inexpensive felt to glue inside so it would have a more finished look and to measure it correctly, that might require an adult's help. The only reason I didn't give a 5 on value is because you could find all of the elements at a Dollar store and assemble it for about $10 less than what you're being charged for here. But that wouldn't be quite as magical since the elements wouldn't come in a package with pictures. I think any 8 or 9 year old girl would be thrilled to receive this.

This mermaid jewelry craft box is really very cute. My little girl loves it! Very affordable and looks really nice.
