My four year old loves it.
I hung a bottle holder on one side, a little pouch I put a flashlight in on the other, and a 3x 9mm mag-pouch on the back for his Acer Chromebook power supply. His only complaint?"It's too heavy"The Chromebook and PSU he has no trouble carrying outside the backpack is too heavy when about 3 lbs extra is added with the backpack, XBox controller and usually empty pouches (the flashlight is perpetually missing and the bottle holder is typically empty as well). I have declared this "Four year old problems" and dismiss them since I think "Too Heavy" means "Carry it for me Dad".It's rugged, fits the four year old perfectly. I can wear it just fine if I adjust the straps despite being about 7x his weight. That's some flexibility.Everyone loves the "Don't Tread on Me" with a Lego brick on it patch as well.

I bought this because of a youtube video
I wish I was kidding.Allow me to explain in great detail why I feel this is a great addition to my "hiking" or "GTFO" pack.At the peak of the pandemic, there was little available besides hiking spots and camping. Since I am a bit of a novice in both - I decided to take my first purchases to a general camping and sports goods store. While the stores often have a broad range of equipment to use -- some of the backpacks, packs, etc, can be on the larger side for some one such as myself. Enter the 10L Protector Plus and a video by AlfieAesthetics. In the video -- the avid hiker/camper highlights some of the many benefits to using a 10L over a larger, 30L backpack.I found that -- as a camper, you tend to 'over prepare' for every worst case scenario. In a lot of camping sites I've visited, from lakes, open desert and 'forest' areas. I learned, that if you're camping in a state park - most of the sites will have decent amenities available for use. Many service fire pits , grills and a dry bed to knock down your tent. The 10L was meant to force me into thinking outside the box and provide simpler tools of the trade for fire/water purification/first aid and bonus supplies. In the video -- I noticed that the review spent more than 10+ minutes explaining that most of their gear was centered in a single mole pouch with a number of slots to organize and carry equipment. This is the benefit of the 10L, with a mole pouch or admin pouch, a great deal of combinations can put the storage to good use. This includes space for a radio, back-up battery, cell phone charger and even food when packed tightly. Now that I have not been able to force myself into reducing my camping gear significantly (if my vehicle can make it to the camp site, I opt to pack clothes and tools in my camping bag.), this has turned into a grab-n-go small hiking bag. I can fit enough supplies, including a thermo flask (13in long 4in wide) into the bag with first aid, snacks, a flash-light, back-up battery, notepad and doggy bags for picking up waste from our puppy.I've tried to find the exact amount of storage that I can force into the pack and see the limits. I've fit 2 1 subject notebooks, pens and pencils, collapsed my lunch box, small notebook, headphones, wireless mouse, tool kit and a medium sized novel into the bag. so far, I have not had any problems with the capacity as an EDC this works well for me. There are plenty of straps to add buckles which increase the carrying ability of the pack -- but this may become a EDC of my wife if I continue to dwaddle. In a way -- you have to find packs that fit your life style and trial and error are some of the best ways to explore specifics for you. I've gone through a number of bags, back-packs, dry packs and so on to find the best overall, "fit" that occupies both aesthetically pleasing but extremely functional.Be mindful of the capacity as exceeding it can lead to tearing. I found that the front pouch can fit small notebooks and the zipper front is great for quick access items, i.e., pocket knife, cell phone charger, headphones, etc. This may not be for everyone --- I don't blame you for turning down this item, but for me, trying to align my lifestyle to the tastes of some one whose spent their entire experience adjusting to fit their needs -- was not a great fit for me. no matter -- this bag has great function where I need it.

Description is very misleading
I just received this today and am so disappointed. It' not as described at all. There are 2 vertical zippers in the front that unzip, but there is noting behind them, i.e. pocket.. just decoration/extra weight. The straps are too short for an adult male... I'm 200 lbs. & 5'10" and can't get it on. More suited for a woman or child.. someone much smaller. Also, the straps are listed as being 1.97" wide... not true, they are only 1" wide and very flimsy. Side pockets hold only the slimmest of water bottles and it pushes into the main compartment, reducing the capacity even more. The material appears to be of good quality, thus the 3 stars. The size is exactly what I wanted, too bad the seller misrepresented the product.

great for day hikes or even an overnight but no more.
simply put there is not enough room to warrant this back over one with a little more space, but if you want a light weight backpack for a day hike it would be amazing.

BEST SMALL BACKPACK!
I LOVE THIS BACKPACK! It’s compact, but holds a good amount for its size, it’s also very durable as I’ve traveled with it many a times.I’ve had this since 2017 and it’s still in great condition. I wash mine out by hand with detergent. Totally recommend this to anyone looking for a compact backpack that’s durable but can hold a good amount and not too small.
