Q: can i use the SP fan controller to control these led's

I do not think so, the RGB fan controller uses a 4 pin connector while the lightning node uses a 3 pin connector. I do know that the software is compatible with both.

Q: Why the adapter has only two ports?

the LED strips are daisy chained (up to 4 in one link), so you can hang 4 LED strips from one RGB channel and a 6 port fan hub from the other one.

Q: Is this compatible with the msi z370 gaming pro carbon ac atx motherboard?

I have the MSI Z370 Gaming Pro Carbon AC and I also have two sets of the Corsair Lighting Node Pro. I am running one set on the JCORSAIR1 jumper on the MBD. That way the lights can be controlled with MysticLight. For some reason, I have received two bad controllers out of three. However, one a positive note, Corsair's software is fairly solid compared to some awful ones like (unfortunately) MysticLight and GSkill's software.
