Best mic stand for pedals.
This mic stand is so unique and awesome. Not only is it a space saver but it removes the chance of people tripping over the stand legs. It's so secure, I love it. As good as this thing is...adding the optional guitar stands just takes it over the top. It is such a pleasure to use thing product. As a solo musician with a busy schedule I can say it's perfect for any guitarist/singer using a pedal board.

The stand you didn't know you needed!
Tired of a cluttered front-line on stage? Wondering how to get rid of all those black tubes? this is it!Pedalboard or simple multi-FX fits right on top of the base, which is nice and heavy. The stand mounts on one of three M20 fittings, so it can be centered or placed off to one side, and they sell other attachments to use on these! I plan to add an M20 speaker pole and laptop stand for Live Band Karaoke nights! The hinge in the stand allows for a comfortable Mic placement without needing a separate boom arm! But it packs up like a straight stand!!I've picked up two of these so far and might add a third so every one of my band members can have one and the front of the stage will be so clean.

Great for use on thight stages, but could be taller
this is a great solution for tight stages because there are no feet for people to trip on and no booms sticking out for people to have to walk around, back into etc. Great for tight spaces. The only problem is it does not go high enough. Since you have to bend it towards you on the hinge to get separation from the stand so you aren't standing ON your pedalboard, the microphone ends up being lower. I am 6'1", and even though I have it extended as far up as it goes, I still have to bend down a bit to sing into the mic.

Perfect Footprint for limited stage space.
Purchased this and the fine threads on the microphone stand shaft stripped, I applied Teflon tape, temporarily fixed problem, contacted manufacturer and warranty was still good, sent a new improved one immediately. I am very happy with the product, I also purchased 2 guitar stand attachments, and they work very well. Mates up to my pedal board perfectly.

The perfect stand for a pedal board.
This thing solves a lot of problems that conventional stands have. I'd been having issues with tripod stands and my pedalboard. I would prop up the board on two of the legs and have the third facing away but as usual people dance too close and don't watch their feet so they'd be stepping on the leg. If they weren't tripping they'd be swinging their arms and catching the counter weight of the boom and I'd have to duck to keep from getting the mic in my chops. This stand fixes that. The boom is adjustable in height and angle and slides down inside the upright shaft for easy carrying. Your board will sit on the 8 pound flat base. No tripping on a third leg, no arms hitting the boom. I also bought another micro boom in case I needed more length on the boom. If there's a down side it's that you have to come up with a way to stow the thing when you transport. I've been finding a way to lean it against things or in some cases I've had to remove the base just because of the shape of it. Small price to pay for something that works well. It's light enough to move but it's heavy enough to sit still and not rock especially with a pedal board on top of it....I use a Headrush so I have some weight on it. I highly recommend it.

Outstanding.
If you have a pedalboard, this stand is a game changer.

Great for use with tablet
This stand is very stable and takes up much less space than a typical three-legged mic stand, but what really stands out is the angled boom.If you're using a tablet that's attached to a normal boom, you know that you have to tighten down the boom very hard or the combined weight of the mic & tablet can pull it down, and of course the more times you do this, the more pressure it takes to screw it down, until finally you can't tighten it anymore. I think I've had to replace 3 or 4 boom mic stands because of this. This stand differs in that the boom can only go to 40 degrees, which might take a little getting used to, but works fine for me at 5'11"

Great product, no longevity
I love this mic stand. It’s a great design idea. I’m pretty tall, so when I set up most mic stands around my pedal board, they want to tip over towards me. This eliminates that completely, as well as, you don’t have to deal with the tripod base. The problem I had with this product is the weld where the mic stand screws into the base broke clean off. I moved the stand to the left and right inserts, and they broke shortly after. I haven’t had this product for 6 months even. I had a similar one before, that had a real thick base, but it was left at a venue after a gig. I need another one, but unfortunately I’m going to look for the thicker based one again.

No more chipped teeth !
Playing venues with no stage is a hazard. Thanks to this stand, there is no more boom protruding onto the dance floor and the extra space for my guitar pedals is super.

Utterly unfit for purpose
I had such high hopes for this stand. It is exactly what I needed. I waited ages until I found some available in Europe and finally took the plunge.Unfortunately on arrival it was clear that corners have been cut. Each socket is held onto the base with three tack welds that even I (not a welder) can see are really poorly done. I don’t know what happened to the big heavy box section that is pictured on the packaging but it seems an update has been driven entirely by cost savings here. The end result of this is that once the mic stand is inserted, the slightest wobble at the top makes big moves at the base, instantly cracking the welds and failure soon follows. The whole socket pops out of the base plate, sending the stand to the floor. I wouldn’t use this to hold a cheap and bomb-proof SM58, let alone a guitar hanger as is so often advertised as a use for this product. It’s clear on inspecting the broken parts that in addition to the welds being terrible, they are applied AFTER painting. I can’t fathom it. There are also no welds on the top side so nothing to prevent the flex that leads to failure. The sticker on the base says ‘Made in China’ and I am not one to draw conclusions, but sadly in this case it shows.Do not buy this or it will break something you care about.

Fantastic
It's a great stand. I put velcro on it and attached my pedals that way. Bought the guitar stand too which is fantastic.

Not as advertised
Like others who reviewed this stand I agree that the concept is great but the execution is poor. I bought the stand based on the image showing what I assume is the older version with the mic stand mounts embedded in a thick bar. When i received the box, I was encouraged that that exact image was on it. However, the base plate inside is the thin metal with mic stand mounts flimsily welded on top. I expect it will break, as other reviewers have reported. For a live performance musician this is a deal breaker. I negotiated getting a replacement for what I thought would be the “thick base” version but received the same thing. If you buy, be prepared to take it to a good welding shop to reinforce the mounts. That’s what I’ll be doing. Giving it 2 stars because it is not what was advertised (image in ad and on box) and will eventually break without additional structural reinforcement.
