Nice setup, and very easy to use.Grew nice tomatoes and bell peppers over the winter.P.S. just a side note.When dumping out the water cover the sight tube opening so you don't lose the ball float .I pushed a needle through the top of the tube so I didn't lose the other.The ball is really not needed just makes it a little easier to see water level.Anyways , For beginners wanting to try dwc this is a great starter . Just make sure to read up on ph , feeding ect with hydro before trying its a lot different than soil.

This is my first hydroponics kit. It works great. I had difficulty getting the tubes connected on some areas. I know they want a tight fit but wondered if this could be improved. So far so good I have seedlings growing in them.

It was easy enough to assemble. I followed the instructions, which were very clear and thorough, and had no real issues. Trying to get the black hose over some of those connections was really tough until I thought to put the hose in a cup of hot water before trying to make the connection. Doing that made it A LOT easier.I'm a little disappointed in the little valves you use to control the flow to the watering ring. They don't seem to have a lot of play. The blue knob only turns about a quarter turn, and so the watering system is either on, or off -- no play to make it half-power. I would change those if I could.Make sure that the blue tube is completely seated, and the bend that it goes in is completely seated in the bucket. I had a couple of leaks when I added water.Even though the buckets hold 5 gallons, you'll only need to put 4 in each. 4 gallons will give you water up to the bottom of the growing basket.All in all, I guess it was easier to click once than it was to buy all of the individual parts, but I don't think it was more economical.

This is a great kit for the money. Installation was the only downside, getting the tubing through the gromets is super painful but other then that it's an easy process. Note that unlike the picture the system does not stream a continuous stream of water out of the ring, it comes in spurts and sputters. It's actually quite loud, and not in a "zen" garden type way but annoying and inconsistent. I get that a fountain pump per bucket would be costly and maintenance heavy but the air pump is loud and the sputtering is loud, so if you plan on putting it somewhere by a living space keep that in mind. Plants love it, put 4 cucumbers in there and got 100's of cucumbers over the course of a few months, and they are still going 4 months later.

Absolutely amazing product. Im a first time grower and it’s doing wonders. My *ahem* tomatoes are really happily growing. Only gripe is that they don’t supply that much tubing. Wish they gave more. Also the drip feed irrigation system has basically gone completely unused, it feels kinda useless once your roots are already in the water.

This system works decently. But for the price, it has room for improvement. The strong black air hose, intuitive bucket design, and top drip emitters are positives, and it operates fairly quietly (not silent). However, the air pump could be stronger, the drip system doesn’t always distribute water evenly, and the bubble stone could oxygenate the water more effectively. A reflective lid to block light and prevent algae would be a valuable addition, and the packaging could be more discreet for those prioritizing stealth.**Pros:**- Durable black air hose- Intuitive, leak-free design- Quiet operation**Suggestions:**- Stronger air pump for improved oxygenation- More even water distribution from the drip system- Higher-quality bubble stone for better aeration- Reflective lid to block light and prevent algae- More discreet packaging for stealth- Higher-quality hydroton (clay pebbles)With these improvements, this system would offer much better value for the price.

Extremely Unhappy with your DWC Hydroponic SystemThe following is the message I sent to Vivosun about their DWC system. BTW, it took a while to figure out how to send it because when you click on Product Support, it doesn't take you to product support.It takes you to a page with a few items about how to use the product. Luckily, (or so I thought), it has a link to their Product Support Page. Too bad that doesn't take you to their product support page either.It takes you to their main sales page of all their products. I never did find a support page, but I did figure out how to send them an email. Here it is:Sirs,I purchased your two-bucket DWC Hydroponic System from Amazon. As I'm sure you know, the parts do not all fit together properly. Specifically, the tube attaching to the Water Level Tube does not fit very well. The other parts accept the tube because they are tapered and/or smaller. It took me an hour to attach each Water Level Tube and only by using other tools, Vaseline, and hot water.Worse than that, several of your parts failed before installation. Specifically, the sealing rings are bad and easily separate into two pieces. One of them was already that way before I opened the bag containing them. If I remember correctly, three more of them fell apart trying to install them.Right now, I have a bad leak in one bucket caused by the failure of the sealing rings, but both buckets were assembled with bad sealing rings because that is all I had to work with. Therefore, I cannot trust either bucket.Send me 8 new sealing rings so I can replace all of them.Send me two Water Level Tubes that actually fit the rubber tubing.Have the new parts delivered within a week.I'm not a vindictive man. Check my reviews on Amazon, and you will find that the great majority are 5 star reviews, and none of them are as angry and upset as I am at the moment. So if you want me to amend my current one star review on Amazon, you had better get me my new parts right away..
