This is my first 3D printer. The printer came well packed and mostly assembled. Assembly was straightforward and covered in the included assembly manual. I did not have to perform any calibration out of the box aside from leveling. Guides for printer calibration and 3D printing in general is _not_ included in this package, as usual. You must be very handy, patient and able to follow directions carefully. This is true for all 3D printers if you want to get good mileage out of them. I immediately installed the ezabl auto bed leveling kit and firmware, as well as replaced the glass bed with a 20"x20" sheet of PEI. I tried to level the bed manually but was not able to get it level on all four corners. I am a beginner so keep that in mind, but also I imagine the larger the bed, the more difficult it is to get perfectly level, thus the ezabl. The PEI sheet I got so I don't have to use hairspray/tape/other consumables while printing. The first print came out flawlessly. A test print of 3D Benchy came out great, with the only anomaly being slight stringing between the posts of the wheelhouse. This is likely due to me using slightly too high a temp. I wouldn't recommend this printer if you're not absolutely certain you need the huge print bed. If you aren't regularly exceeding 300mm on any dimension, you should look at a smaller printer. Not only does this thing take up a lot of space, the very large bed is a liability and pain point as far as calibration and bed / frame accessories go.Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. I will update this review if I encounter any hardware failures.

I purchased the CR10-S5 from ToAuto. ( I recommend this seller). This is my 5th S5I rarely write any reviews as I get 5-6 packages from Amazon a day and do not have the time.This S5 came in from ToAuto and as usual I had the unit up and running in 10 mins.as I went to print the extruder stepper motor would only vibrate back and forth.This usually happens on a stepper if it is missing one of its phases.I Contacted the vendor with the issue. and then took the liberty of opening the controller to check the cable.Sure enough one of the pins on the connector was popped out of the connector. This was caused during assembly at the factory.I have 10 Creality printers and this is the first that failed.After reassembly I tried to move the extruder and it would not move. But the vibration was gone. But it would not move at all now...I used the Amazon message system to talk back and forth with the vendor.They were fast to respond, courteous, and most helpful.Found out that the extruder will not move till the filament is at the 180-190 temperature.So yes, I had to fix the connector pin.Overall, I love these printers and will buy another.And additionally, I will buy from ToAuto. They made me feel comfortable that when I had an issue they were there to help.Well back to work...

If you are buying this printer, it is assumed that it is not your first one and that you have 3D printing experience with smaller models. The printer comes in a huge box and is packed really well. I need to say this again, this printer is HUGE. Even though it comes pre-assembled, have your tools ready because you will need to disassemble it and very carefully build is back up. There is a number of things that you will need to address when reassembling this printer. If you had printers before, you will know exactly what those things are. It took me good 4-5 hours to take the thing apart and put it together. You will also need to allocate a dedicated place for this printer with solid table top and somewhere not too cold. If you install it in a cold garage or basement, it will take a VERY long time to heat up the print bed.If you do the things mentioned above and use correct settings for filaments of your choice, this printer will perform flawlessly. Just today I finished a 63-hour print... Sixty-three hours of non-stop printing and this thing handled it like a champ. I honestly cannot be happier with S5 and recommend it to those who need to print large scale prototypes.

Setting it up can be a little confusing if you haven't read about the printer in advance but once you set it up, it prints exceptionally well.I haven't had any of the nightmare issues people claim to get with their cr-10 s5 printers. Everything was solidly constructed and there was no warping with any parts or the bed. Calibration prints came out perfectly and everything I've printed so far has kept up the quality. It's only been a few days but I have yet to need to re-level the bed.

These things can be a little tricky if you do not know what you are doing. Which was me. Youtube saved me as the instructions aren't well written and in broken English. This printer came with EVERYTHING you need to finish building it. All tools are there and it even came with some filament to get started. With some mechanical knowledge, I was able to get it built and printing in a few hours.

Printer was damaged on arrival and I had to order new fans to replace the destroyed ones. The package was handled poorly. There was a corner missing from the 500 x 500 bed glass plate to expensive just order a new one.

First, off all I have a CR20 pro. Purchased that from Creality. I didn't realize this purchase was from TOAUTO.Missing parts, instructions are not clear at all. Parts do not match instructions. We have tried putting this thing together for two days.Sending back and getting a refund!
