One of the best mental toughness books around
I purchased this book after reading numerous tweets that Steve Magness posted that really resonated with me. As a coach, I have read a lot of books about mental toughness, and this was by far the best one I've read. His approach to mental toughness is different than most, yet it is logical and really makes sense. I liked the exercises given to help develop the mental skills described. Not only do the lessons apply to sports, but also to business and real-life. This was an interesting read with lots of stories and examples to illustrate the concepts.

Good at any age
I am not a sports fan. I read this book in search of thoughts about how my grandson age 9 and talented in sports (he ran a 5 k race with his dad. His dad came in first for the over 40 crowd. My grandson beat his dad) I lent my book to my son but kept reading it for myself. At ovet 75, I found the book wise, motivating, and downright loving.and relevant to the "hard things" that I must do now. Thank you!

Great read
Offers a new model of toughness with psychological science and evidence to back up key tenants he put for in book. I like the practical exercises to put into practice his ideals.

One of the best books on resilience, performance anxiety, and overall growth
This is probably the most important book I've read that covers the topic of performance anxiety. It goes so much deeper than I expected, and Steve Magness really understands how complex it gets. He helps to rebuild our foundation of resilience from the ground up in a way that will help us navigate life's challenges and achieve high-level performance. Best of all, it's helping me have a healthier relationship with myself - a must read!!

Another great book from Steve Magness
The work being produced by Steve Magness and Brad Stulberg (books and The Growth Equation podcast) continue to deliver important information in an easily digestible manner. Do Hard Things challenges an erroneous interpretation of toughness and presents a more nuanced and practical view of how to approach and overcome challenges.

Strong beginning, not so strong ending.
The book starts off strong but found myself losing interest towards the back half of the book. Still worth a read.

Such a good read with so much to offer - why?
All of the philosophies and skills that Steve outlines in this book are lifelong skills that everyone wants to have, myself included but struggles to really understand how they are cultivated. he does an amazing job at explaining how to tap into certain parts of your brain when under high stress situations. whether you are dealing with an unhappy customer or employees or running a 5k race and more. This book was not at all what i was expecting it to be but if anyone is looking for a breakthrough on how to really understand how our brains work this is it, thank you Steve for a masterpiece and I will definitely be reading it again. #Do Hard Things
