Solid Putting Green
I was in the market for a new putting green for the office since the old one was pretty beat up. I came across several fairly priced options, with the one most similar to the old putting green being listed here on Amazon as well. After reading the reviews, it gave me flash backs of the same problems we'd already have with the current green; it wrinkled up easily, the end of the green wouldn't stay down for extended putts, and the felt material was cheap and creased up pretty easily.I continued through the list and eventually came across this putting green. The only problem was the price tag was about 3 times as much as the cheaper, lower rated option I had looked at. After reading the reviews, I hesitated the purchase because of the $60 price. One day when I was daydreaming again, I saw it was $50 and decided it was time!Upon arrival, the green is rolled up in a nice box. The mat is actually fairly thick and feels of good quality. Because of it being rolled up, it had a couple of lumps when it was unraveled, which a majority of the lumps flattened out within a couple hours, while the ending of the runway took about a day. After sitting, it is completely flat and has a nice ball roll. The ball return works very well, also. It is extremely convenient and consistently returns the ball to the 7 foot mark where I usually stand.Pros:Good quality all aroundNice ball returnCons:Incline on the ramp to the hole is a tiny bit steep (really not that bad, this is almost nitpicking)My productivity at work has slightly decreased ;)I'd recommend this putting green.

Improves Putting
My on-course putting statistics took a turn for the worse—so I became committed to finding a fix. I was looking for a practice aid that I could use inside, at home. Initially I purchased a mat with an auto (motorized) ball return—and the motor quickly burnt out after several weeks of use. I found this SKLZ alternative which utilizes a gravity fed ball return. Assuming you have a level floor, the return works adequately—but I use several balls which tend to collect at the hole end of the mat. See photo. The alignment stripes on the mat help to “groove” a square strike and follow-through to the hole. The hole provided is regulation size and I found that with the guide lines it was (too) easy to sink putts. In order to improve my accuracy, I made an adjustment to the hole (based on the advice from other reviewers). I made an insert which fits into the hole decreasing it’s diameter to a little bigger than the size of a golf ball. Putts need to be much more accurate (line and speed) to go into the “modified” hole. Missed putts either enter a collection slot behind the hole and enter the gravity return track or roll up then down the ramp and return to the point of start. I also added a “backstop” to the mat behind the hole to prevent putts struck too firmly from overshooting the mat layout. (It was the backstop from the mat with the broken motorized ball return). I have been using the mat as much as time permits and I am finally seeing an improvement in my game. I have set a goal of 100 practice Putts a Day—which is relatively easy to achieve using the tool. And now I don’t worry about a motor burning out or my ball sticking in the return mechanism. I Putt, and Putt, and Putt some more. So far, I have been able to carry my routine, setup and “muscle memory” feel to the course. Three, five and seven foot putts are falling more regularly now. If only I had 40ft of living room floor to practice the longer ones (smile)!

Pretty nifty
I just got it and probably did about 200 putts on it, and I had a great time doing it. The thing works well, I'm improving quickly, and I'm very happy with my purchase. It is a simple, well-designed tool that works as intended. The ball comes all the way back to you very consistently and in a reasonable amount of time, the markings are great for helping you improve your swing and really see whether or not the ball went perfectly straight, the turf is thin but tough and rolls true, and the hole is on an uphill so if you want to make it, you have to hit the ball hard enough to get up the incline, which I like. It's not perfect, though. The hole/ball return part is made out of thin plastic, which is fine if you leave it alone. It's not flimsy, but it almost certainly wouldn't hold up to being stepped on or something. Not a big deal. In addition, the turf around the hole was applied slightly off-center, but that's not a big deal either. I'm not putting in the masters or anything. The one thing I'm a little nervous about is that it feels really...easy? I think putting the hole on a slant makes it an easier target than it would be if it was flat, so I feel like it won't perfectly translate to putting on an actual, relatively flat green. However, I could be wrong. At the very least, I'm improving my ability to hit the ball straight, and I'm gaining confidence in my ball speed. If I need to up the challenge I'll figure out a way to make the hole smaller (but I'm still missing enough putts for that not to be worth it yet). So yeah, great tool. I'm very satisfied and I'm happy that I can improve my game in the comfort of my own home.

Great for my office
This is the perfect size for my office. I would just sit there all day on phone calls twiddling my thumbs - no more! Now I can practice my short range putting game while I'm on the phone! Quality of the mat is very good - nice even surface, no bumps. Ball return works smoothly as well. It's possible to massively overhit the ball and then it will hop over the hole and go over the return, but 98/100 shots come back either via the return or just by falling down the slope. Got this used so it was a couple of bucks cheaper - great item for the price.
