Maybe you're thinking what I thought: "The Amazon or generic brand looks identical, and it has 5 blades, why pay more for Gilette?"Bad idea. Seriously Dude, get these, and save money while saving your face.I tried the Amazon brand after using these, and it was night and day. #1, The blades tug and rip the whiskers as if they're dull, right out of the box. #2, They get worse from there, fast.Whereas these blades can last me about a month, but I usually change cartridges before then for sanitary reasons. (YMMV.)I don't know whether these are great, or if it's that the Amazon brand is awful, but they're 100% different. Amazon brand hurts, takes more work, and don't last. Gilette brand doesn't hurt, one swipe gets a clean shave, and the blades last.

Great new razor

In the past, I bought two of these: one for the house, and one for the camper. I bought a third one of when the house one developed mildew on the gray rubber part of the handle. I wasn't able to kill/remove the mildew.The new one came and I was disappointed because it looked like they had changed from metal to plastic in the handle. I was pleasantly surprised when I actually opened the package and learned that the handle was indeed metal. The razor has a nice feel in the hand when I'm shaving with it.While the mildew appeared after several years, the handle was always left to air dry. So, I took off a point for the mildew. Obviously, since I bought another, this is worth buying.

Just used my Gillette Fusion for the 1st time. Smooooth and effective.

Item is great

Smooth shave. No cuts or razor burns. Replacement heads are expensive though.

I accidentally got the wrong blades that fit this razor instead of my mach 3 replacement blades. I decided to just buy a whole new razor and I could not be happier. It literally just glides on my face with no resistance at all and I don't shave every day. I could not be happier with this purchase and will be buying this brand from now on. My highest recommendation.
