Sheet Pan Sweets: Simple, Streamlined Dessert Recipes - A Baking Cookbook

I first tried Molly's dessert Apple Galette in her book Sheet Pan Suppers (which I would also like to plug, especially the curried Chicken with Cauliflower, Apricots and Olives- my go to for company). The crust was flakey and the apples, cinammony and delicious. Also a favorite to make with kids and such a hit with guests and a perfect sneak breakfast treat.So I have been eager for more desserts from her. I started with gingerbread. Sooo simple, moist delicious. The best smothered in whipping cream and kind of perfect for the winter months. Then on to the Currant Lemon Scones, the Apple Pandaowdy- both mouth-watering and simple to create. Looking forward to the Plum Pistachio Galette and see how it compares to her apple version. My Christmas gifts this year will be Nana Kiflings- melt in your mouth, just enough ground almonds to complement the buttery texture of these festive cookies.The pictures are beautiful and makes each confection look alluring. Molly writes with an easy armchair style- a mixture of humor and immaculate detailing for what needs to be done to replicate her desserts. I am clearly a fan- I've now got all 3 of her books. One more plug for One Pan and Done, her second book. The ultimate comfort food is accomplished with her Carrot Soup and so very many more delicious recipes.

Aspiring bake sale heroes, this one's for you!This book is a MUST for all home bakers, especially if you're looking to feed a crowd. Slab pies are a particular triumph, and there are a bunch of good ones in here -- the crust to filling ratio is better than the standard-issue kind, and they're SO much easier to make. It's like bumper bowling, but more satisfying, and without the weird shoes.You won't regret having a copy of this around, especially with the holidays fast approaching. The people demand bakes. Armed with this tome and a half sheet, you can deliver.Side note: I also enjoy that the book was printed with rounded corners which match the radius of a sheet pan. Nice touch, publisher.

I have all of mollys cookbooks and use them regularly. I have even gifted them to friends. This is another I will use all the time. Looks like almost every recipe is a winner. I made the apple fritter cake. I have been looking for a simple apple cake for 2 decades and they always fall flat or not what I wanted. This one is perfect. And so easy. Buy this book. You won’t be disappointed.

I was lucky enough to get my book signed by Molly at Book Larder in Seattle. And I was able to sample three of the recipes in the book, including the chocolate chip cookie brittle, the apple fritter cake, and Jack’s chocolate chip cake. Wow! Each one was better than the last! And then I dove right into the book, trying the pumpkin tiramisu roll, which was not hard to make at all and which was absolutely amazing! I so much look forward to baking my way through this extraordinary book. Bravo, Molly Gilbert!

Sheet Pan Sweets is my fall go to hostess gift! Everyone has loved it and raves about the delicious recipes and beautiful photography. I have all of Molly's books and this could be the best one yet. Who doesn't love a sweet on a sheet pan?? Her writing is exquisite. Her photos are delectable. And the actual recipes speak for themselves!! Yum. Couldn't recommend more highly! (I especially love all of the bars, and am going to try the sheet cake for my son's birthday!).

I own all of Molly Gilbert’s cookbooks, and as a dessert lover this one is truly spectacular! Easy to follow recipes, gorgeous photography and delicious results. These are especially fun to do with kids. If you’re reading the reviews because you’re on the fence - don’t hesitate, just purchase. Promise you and your stomach won’t regret it!

This book is so beautiful! I love that it's paperback and not too heavy - easy to cart around the kitchen. I made the berry shortbread bars and they were so easy and good with that hint of lemon. Bringing to my son's school bake sale! Highly recommend this book!
