If i could i would have given 10 Starts!
Yes, this book will change your life forever. It definitely changed mine. In what concerns to Personal Development Texts, I would say this is the most complete book about the subject in the market. Napoleon Hill, indeed, covers pretty much all aspects about the power of the human mind to materialise anything we desire in life. And, believe me when i say, I have read tons of books about personal development. But so far, this book is the best. However, to make it more clear, this book is not the best in terms of providing detailed information in each and every aspect of the process of manifestation. Nevertheless, it does cover all aspects of it in a reasonable profound manner. Obviously, if your intention is to expand your knowledge in a very specific aspect of the process of manifestation, for example Persistence, or Law Of Attraction, then i would advise you to get a book focusing solely on that specific aspect. Furthermore, If you are new into this type of knowledge, this would be the first book to start with. It will provide you with a general overview of this Power, and will boost your motivation to expand your knowledge about it. After reading this book, i would strongly recommend Bob Proctor's Book "Thoughts are thinks'. Again, another amazing book! The bottom line is, once you start reading this type of subject, you must continue reading more and more about it. The reason for that is you must imprint this concept into your subconscious mind in order to use this power properly and effortlessly. And, the more knowledge you accumulate, more your subconscious mind will accept it and use it in your favour. Wish you all the best in your personal development journey. And remember, Be ALWAYS Blessed! Be ALWAYS a Blessing!

Not impressed
Sorry, but there are tons of books out there that get the same message across in a much more inspiring manner. Chapter one tells you that there is a hidden secret that is an ongoing theme in all the chapters, but he won't tell you what it is. I suspect there isn't one, and that bit is to get you to keep reading. Then the rest of the book is him telling you outdated stories of the way things were in his time. Like even if you aren't qualified for a job, if you really want it you can hop on a train and convince the boss to give you the job anyway just by being persistent and insisting he hire you. Sorry, just not the way things work anymore. Apparently rich old guys love this book, probably because it reminds them of they way things used to be, and supports their theory that young people just aren't being persistent enough, rather than the fact that boomers ruined our economy.I rarely give negative reviews on amazon but this book fully deserves it. Go find something more current.

Skip this book
If you're looking for an edge in your pursuit of success, skip this book. 20 years ago I bought this book and it's ideas hook, line and sinker; however, after spending two decades on application it's apparent that the principles in this book are mostly nonsense. I am only going to take the time to highlight two pieces of misinformation in this book: visualization, and "the secret."This book touts visualizing your goals as a method to speed up/ensure attainment. Research shows that the opposite is true. Visualizing your goals and imagining how it would feel to have achieved them has been show to consistently reduce drive and motivation. This book is full of misinformation like this, that if diligently applied will be counterproductive. There is "the secret" alluded to in this book, and the subject of a nonsense DVD and book by the same title. The most important warning that I can give someone younger, after 20 years of time wasted looking for secrets is this: the only free cheese is in a mouse trap. Secrets to success do NOT exist. Time spent looking for "secrets" or applying them is time that could be invested in getting better at the fundamentals of whatever arena you are in.One of the most basic examples would be personal finance: the only people getting rich off the "secrets of wealth" are the people selling those "secrets." Ultimately there are just a handful of things that matter in personal finance - get out of debt, live on a budget, invest in assets with a decent balance of risk & return, have a rainy day fund (and funds for other things you know are coming - Christmas gifts, college, etc.).This book is selling a fantasy that appeals to deep biases that all humans have. Do yourself a favor, skip this book.

Great book - don’t buy it here though
If you’re going to buy this book, buy a different version. This one is full of typos, grammatical errors and just lazy editing (page 36 where the copyright symbol is used instead of (c) because someone didn’t check it...or on page 18 where a quote started HALF WAY THROUGH another word ... I mean honestly!)About the book: Although the book is sound, and it’s advice practicable, it does have some out dated views and anecdotes - however it was written in 1937 so read it with that in mind.Lots of successful people rage about this book, and I can see why. Definitely worth giving a go ... just not from this publisher!

Racist, sexist, badly written, punctuated and typeset nonsense
I'm about half way through this book and it's STILL not getting to the point, and I just can't keep on reading any more.Every chapter is the same three not-especially-interersting stories told over and over in slightly different ways, or longs monologues of pseudoscience and scientific theories that have long since been disproved. At one point, I kid you not, he suggests that science has proved the existence of telepathy! He talks constantly about "the ether", which has been proved to not exist. He takes credit for the fact that his deaf son's hearing was restored. He takes credit for his son's success in marketing that hearing aid to other deaf people. He takes credit for the classes his son gave to other deaf people to help them overcome their lack of hearing. From what I've read he also takes credit for even bigger things later in the book.He constantly hints that there's a secret to wealth but you will need to read the NEXT chapter to find out what it is. Except no such secret is ever revealed. In one chapter he arrogantly claims the reader will need to read his book THREE TIMES to fully understand his lessons! The book is full of racist and sexist anecdotes. He talks of a Chinese student in America and speaks like the very idea of a Chinese person educating themselves is something unusual and noteworthy. The language he emplys to describe this person is cringeworthy, like listening to your racist aunt ranting about foreigners.Hill abuses the comma so much as to make the book excruciating to read. Similarly he uses hyphens instead of dashes, and applies them liberally throughout. This wouldn't be so bad if the there weren't also 3-6 hyphenated words split across two lines on every page. It can be very hard to tell whether a hyphen at the end of the line is the end of an aside, or the hyphenation of a word split across a line.In places it's clear that whatever OCR the publisher used wasn't very good and wasn't checked over before being published. For example, in one place there was a single 'm' in the middle of a sentence. It took me a while to realise it was meant to be the word 'in'.And most irritatingly of all has to be the zealous CAPITALISATION OF ENTIRE SENTENCES FOR BASICALLY NO REASON. It reads like he's unnecessarily SHOUTING various things BUT I CAN NEVER FIGURE OUT WHY.He contradicts himself repeatedly. He tells stories where the moral is that someone only got rich because they spent time thinking about it. But the real reason is stated plainly in the story: the person in question took action that made them rich. Thinking about it simply wasn't enough. This book is boring, self-indulgent, self-aggrandising, self-satisfied, money-worshipping, out of date, repetitive, unscientific, pseudoscientific, arrogant, contradictory bull.I'm tempted to ask for a refund, even though I got this book on Kindle for free!
