Five Star Composition Book / Notebook, College Ruled Paper, 100 Sheets, 9-3/4" x 7-1/2", Hardbound, Orange (72859)

I bought this notebook with the intention of using it for my class notes. Given the fact that college ruled notebooks are generally difficult to find I was thrilled to find this one on Amazon. I had expected the durability of the plastic Five Star covers that the company is known for with the toughness of a classic composition notebook. Instead I received the most flimsy notebook I've ever had, but with a plastic durable cover.It's hard to explain - when you hold the book you know that it'll last a lot of wear and tear, but at the same time it bends so easily that you're afraid that all your pages will end up bent, creased, and ruined by simply storing it in a backpack. It's also very difficult to take notes in if it's not on a desk or other hard surface since the notebook has no way of supporting itself. A few cents spent on a cardboard reinforcement on the cover would have made this a 5-star review. I may end up adding it myself since the flexibility of this book is driving me nuts.

got this book for my grandaughter she needed it for school her teacher wanted each child to bring in a orange composition book. She was the only one in the class who was able to find it.

Great shape and were perfect for what the school required for the kids for school Excellent quality. Great buy for the price.

When it was deilivered, the cover was partially tear.
