It actually really works. The instructions were easy to follow and I did it exactly as instructed and it worked, I live in Greater Manchester and it really pours down here, so at 1st I thought it would only work for light rain but I was surprised when I went out in heavy rain and my sock and feet stayed dry, though I still don't know how often to reapply the protection.

Consistency is runny. For trainers I found it easier to spray directly on and massage in with a thin cloth. No rain got in, till I got splashed by a car. Top of my socks took the brunt of it. Easy baby wipe off dust and mud after. Keeps my tan suede Clark’s & Doc martens looking fresh. Brushes in handy, wish in included a smaller toothbrush style with same bristles for crevices . Look good as new. Not sure how often it needs reapplying.Would repurchase the spray. Hope that helps.

I have to be honest and say that this is quite expensive for what it is. I do have something similar already which i just spray over my trainers and leave until dry. With this product i have to spray it on and massage it into the material with the enclosed brush. I find it a little more faffy than the types you can buy in a can. It did work after some messing but no more than the can i have previously bought at half the price. I wouldn’t buy this again unfortunately.

The protector spray is almost odourless, with a faint smell and no colour. Its consistency is very runny and water-thin, which makes it challenging to work into the leather surface, even when using the enclosed brush.I noticed that a significant amount of the sprayed liquid rolls off the leather surfaces before I can effectively apply it with the brush.On the bright side, when I tried using it on canvas shoes, it adhered well to the textured fibres.Ideally, it would have been better if the spray had a gel-like or cream-like texture instead.Following the instructions printed on the side of the bottle, I sprayed it onto the clean surface, massaged it in with the brush, left it to dry for 10 minutes, and then applied another coat.However, when I tested its effectiveness with water spray, the water droplets ended up just sitting on the surface of the shoes without sinking in. No matter how much I tried to rub the droplets in, the coating on the surface did not yield.All in all, this spray defender does its job well, and my only inconvenience was with applying it to silky-smooth surfaces.
