Better than expected!
Arrived in less than a week, but then I decided to also order the FAST harness that goes directly to the deck, and just uses the deck power. I also ordered the FAST 9999 connectors to tap in to the wires. Finally, I ordered the RBCM-100 remote bass control fir Bazooka tubes (definitely recommended, if you'd like to exactly control the exact amount of bass per song or style). Anyway, this 8" powered subwoofer easily has enough power to make me smile in my Rav4. Very happy with the 8" size, it's not too big, easily removed, and has very low bass as well! When I wired it to the factory deck, I didn't have a powered antenna option, and I read on bazooka forum that you could just hook up the tube power, and the remote power on switch from the same wire, I didn't know how that would work, but it worked great! The accessory on wire in my Rav4 was only 18awg, and the bazooka wires were 16awg, but it powered the sub fine, however the next day I researched a bit more and decided it might be better to run the power to the always on 12v source going into my deck as it is really what delivers the power to the sub, and I was concerned about the sub running off only a 18awg wire. (I left the remote on wire connected to the accessory on wire)5 star recommendation, buying from Amazon was fast, sub works great (oh btw, before you wonder why there is no bass coming from it when you first turn it on, you do need to increase the gain knob on the subwoofer as it comes at minimum from factory). Very happy! Not a huge boom person, so my remote bass control knob is usually set very low, just to fill in the bottom of my music which is usually pop or euro dance, but it can add a good pounding if you wanted as well.

Nice for the size and price..
I bought this for my jeep wrangler a month ago. Its pretty much what I was hoping for. It really added a lot fuller of sound to my factory speakers. It's not what you want if your goal is to shake the whole block when your driving up the street and you want the whole neighborhood to notice you. It sounds really good for what I listen to classic rock, metal, and punk. The only thing I was a little upset about is that it was too big to fit under my back seat. So I had it installed in the back trunk. Which is my fault for not sizing it right. All in all I am very satisfied with the product...

Awesome bass in such a small package!
I cannot put into words how much this thing surpassed my expectations. I have had smaller and less powerful bass tubes before so I expected something like those. This thing really does such a good job that people think I have a box with a couple of 12's in the trunk.I actually had a much higher end system priced out and was almost ready to pull the trigger, but I'm trying to save money (and space and weight in the car) so I begun looking into these. I like the fact that it is removeable if I want the entire trunk space available. The sound is awesome and unexpected for this size of sub/enclosure/power. It sounds great down to 30 hz which is my sweet spot in base. I highly recommend getting the remote for better control of the bass from the drivers seat. It does not have a bass boost centered around a certain frequency like they normally do, but rather a level control (like an amp gain adjust) and a low pass crossover control. Both are handy when you have a song with lots of bass that you need to turn it down or a song with higher bass that you need to adjust the crossover.Normally when I'm by myself or with one passenger I do leave the seatback down that is directly in front of the tube. It looks nice plus it sounds better. I did tests at 30/40 hz and there is a 3.5 Db loss in sound level when I close up the rear seat so I prefer it down. They recommend that you "corner load" the sub but honestly I prefer to have it facing forward. The way I have it mounted I can switch it around easily if I want to anyway. During install make sure you leave plenty of extra length to all the cables (RCA, turn on, power, ground, remote) so that you can move it around if you ever want/need to. I hid all the extra cable under the rear carpet for a clean looking install.

Everything I was hoping for
My son's review:I had this installed in a 2007 CTS-V along with a brand new navigation head unit (JVC KWNT800HDT, also purchased here) and with the exception of the terrible mounting straps that come with it I couldn't be happier.Pros - Everything about this performs as advertised. My Head unit comes with 6 preset configurations and 4 custom EQ settings along with a sub and bass boost (and I love BASS, both are cranked to the max) and this thing booms. Shakes the car, I've had it uncomfortably loud and not heard any distortion to speak of, just brain melting bass. I've had to secure my license plate to keep it from rattling. I was honestly shocked at how great it sounds, easily the equal of at least a 10 or 12 sub. I honestly wasn't planning on putting this much sound in the car, I was only looking to add a little more umph to the stock bose setup as I live in a quiet family neighborhood and my cruising days are behind me, but I was pleasantly surprised and get head turns from people on the street.-Mine was professionally installed so i can't comment on the ease of install, but it fits wherever you have room to shove it. Any standard amp wiring kit should do, will install just like any other amp.Cons - the straps are the only thing really. They don't stay taught at all and will just pull right off. For the moment I put the box this shipped in sideways to brace it against one side of my trunk with a folded blanket in between so it wont go anywhere, this weekend I'm planning on buying a couple of $5 cinching straps and finding a spot to lock it in from the rear seat access. Besides that, no complaints at all.Sounds great, looks great, is great, if you're on the fence GET ONE you wont be disappointed.
