This is exactly how it is described. It is light weight and rich and my plants LOVE IT. You will have to adjust your watering routine as it does hold moisture longer. But I always check my plants before I water or bottom water to avoid over watering. If you don't change your behavior and follow the lead of your plants you will end up with mold or fungus gnats because of the extra moisture. If you are open to something that Works differently -and better- than your usual soil, and are willing to follow the lead of your plants water needs, you'll love this!

It does what it says. It's clean, easy-to-use, and expands. My indoor herbs have germinated. I really love that fungus gnats aren't a problem with this potting soil . I haven't planted my outdoor plants yet. My only complaint is that it isn't esthetically beautiful, but if my plants grow well, it wouldn't matter.

I fluffed the soil up as much as I could before planting in it. I watered my pothos once after potting, and the moisture held in so much that within a few days mold started to grow on top. This stuff REALLY holds in water, so water very sparingly! I don't think I'd buy this again.

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this soil. Against my better judgment I chose the Glee Potting Mix over my regular trusted Miracle Grow Potting Soil. I potted 16 baby spider plant starters from my 4yr old Mother Spider Plants, & reported 3 out of 4 of my 4yr old Mother Spider Plants. These pictures are of my Mother Plants with their babies before repotting. As you can see HEALTHY BEAUTIFUL PLANTS & BABIES. All but 2 of my starters died, & all 3 of my 4 year old Spider plants died!! THE 1 I DIDNT REPOT IS STILL ALIVE. I have added pictures of what the they diwndled down too within a matter of weeks.. I'm BEYOND PI****!!!! I should have NEVER PURCHASED THIS TRASH SOIL!! Developed mold & does not retain water. It's nothing but garbage soil. I tossed out 1 of the 2 bags. You have been warned don't do it don't even think about it!! Total GARBAGE!!! If I could give 0 stars I would.. please DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SOIL PLEASE!!!

This is lightweight plus easy to put in pots and baskets. Hope it remains like this all summer.

My plants are flourishing with this soil. Makes a gardener smile.
