Love it
Myu sons had so much fun decorating this. Two of the premade pieces were broke but easliy fixed with the frosting. Just had to wait until they dried to assemble. My son is six and it would have been hard for him to assemble but he loved the decorating part.

Gingerbread pieces are solid; the decorations woefully lacking!
Works as expected. Easy to assemble. Buy candy decorations before decorating because there is not enough to create a pretty holiday gingerbread house. In my opinion, the company should list the recommended candy decorations on the outside of the box, so that families can purchase decorations separately. Eliminate the included candy all together. If a grandparent bought just this box to do with their grandchild, they would both be VERY disappointed. In addition, for those who don't know, the house is difficult to assemble @ high altitudes. Special instructions regarding assembling are needed @ the beginning in bold lettering, because it is very difficult to go back & add moisture to the "glue" after it is placed in the icing dispenser. There is barely enough icing to complete the house. My suggestion for decorating the house would be to include crushed/ powered candy canes to sprinkle over the sides of the house. We did that & it really dressed up the appearance. Lose the green fondant. There are no visual instructions describing how to use this component. If a consumer knows how to use that small green piece of fondant, I doubt they are using prepared gingerbread. Please Wilton consider your stakeholder. Make the finished product much more visually appealing to a CHILD. Add chocolate "shutters", a candy wreath, a chimney (Hohos make the best). What you offer the consumer works, but in its barest form. For the unwitting adult supervising this project the result is quite sad.

Great ginger-bread house and it was in tact
Great ginger-bread house and it was in tact, a little crack, but that’s ok and a little small, but the price was great, the gingerbread also smelled off.

Wilton gingerbread houses
My grandchildren and I attended Gingerbread House classes and then started ordering on-line three years ago. I have an icing recipe that works well, so I just make my own. I also buy the candies to supplement what is included. My only problem is that when you order three for three grandchildren and one arrives in about 12 broken pieces, it becomes an issue that is too late to fix by reorder. I know that they are fragile and that this is a possibility in any order, so I have decided not to reorder these. Hope to find them locally or if nothing else, make my own from Graham crackers.

Lots of Fun
Put this house together with my 5 year old grand daughter. We both loved working it and the final result looked very nice. Strongly recommend reading through instructions before hand so the process moves along smoothly, especially with a little one as an assistant.

Very disappointed in this product
Very disappointed in this product. I paid almost $24.00 for this "Gingerbread House Kit" for my granddaughter. When I opened it, there wasn't enough candy in the kit to decorate the house once completed. I had to go out and purchases additional candy to make it look anything like the Gingerbread House on the cover of the box.( You think for $24.00 they'd pit more candy in the kit) I saw a $10.00 Gingerbread house kit in K-mart,similar to that one that was loaded with candy. So sorry I purchased this one.So beware of this product.pel815@verizon.net

Damaged & Missing
I took a chance and ordered off season. However, not only were parts broken a major piece for the house was missing. The kids were so disappointed. Also the fondant had been cut open so it was dry and unusable. Basically, the kids just decorated the piece shaped like a house like a cookie. Deserves a zero!
