A Cheerful GiverSage & Citrus Papa Scented Glass Jar Candle (34oz) with Lid & True to Life Fragrance Made in USA

I took a chance on this one. Sage and Citrus isn't a scent that I usually purchase from this seller. I have always loved Yankee's Sage & Citrus, but I loved the color and felt like I couldn't go wrong with Sage and Citrus, so I took that chance. The first one I ordered came melted and the way it was melted is hard to explain, but it was easy to manipulate it back into the jar and sitting correctly, my jar was filled almost to the top! This company's candles have so much soy wax, which I love for sure, that I was able to adjust and fix it so I didn't have to send it back, whew! BUT, when I opened the lid to see if I could maneuver it back in place, the strongest scent of CITRUS hit me and I was quickly put off or maybe overwhelmed, I should say, by it! (Bergamot, perhaps? Not sure if this is what they use for their 'citrus' in this candle, but I believe it might be because of how it turned out) I am not one to ever purchase Lemon or Lime Scented candles and I sure cannot understand why the "best seller" in candles is a lemon scented candle! Bleh! The reason I love Sage&Citrus in other brands of this scent, is because of the Bergamot (Orange) that is used and when mixed with Sage, it creates the perfect Kitchen or Breakfast Room scent on the market, for me. BUT, I decided to take a chance on this company's Sage&Citrus and go ahead and light it, even tho I just knew I would hate it. Once lit, the scent, as is always the case with Cheerful Giver Candles, filled my entire open floorplan home and everyone that walked in the door that day and several more days after, either complemented the scent, mostly 17-20 year old kids visiting my son, and a few adults, as well, or wanted to know the scent and where to get one. Many loved the color too. I don't understand when these two scents mix together and burn, because what it smells like when you open the lid for the first time, is NOT the scent that stays around when you burn the candle at all. The Sage and whatever citrus oil/peel is used, which it must be Bergamot for me to love it, mixed together and THEN burned are a perfect combination and create the loveliest of uplifting and happy scents that I have ever burned, even in the Sage&Citrus Yankee; sorry Yankee, but Cheerful Giver has won me over, as well as many friends too and is my newest "go to" or as they now say, "Holy Grail" of Sage & Citrus scented candles! This scent can even be placed in a G.Room, specifically if it goes with your home decor, for the holidays, to take your guests away from all of the pumpkin this and the apples and spice that or woodsy scents that are such the rave now. It is a nice easy, uplifting change throughout the year when you get sick of following the Seasons. I'm a lover of this scent and have already bought & burned at least five Papa's. OH and are very nice gifts when you are not sure of what scent someone may or may not like. I purchased two of the smaller Cross shaped Glass Lantern Glass Jars and they are working out just as easily and lovely as all Cheerful Giver candles do. I have been buying from Cheerful Giver and Keepers of the Light for over 3 years and they almost never disappoint. Great smelling candle

I love the scent of this candle. However, I write to let you know that it arrived melted, exterior of jar was covered with sticky wax, ribbon was soaked with wax beyond use, cover was dulled with wax, and candle had reformed and settled on its side causing one of the two wicks to be buried in wax.I will not return this candle, but will burn it with one wick. I just want to let you know that this constant and oppressive heat is not nice to the candles when they are shipped. Just trying to be helpful.Pat Baruzzi

Love the combination sage/citrus scent in the house. Sage alone in the past has seemed really weak, and citrus alone has seemed overwhelming to me. This combination seems to work well.

The candle overheated in the shipping process. The candle melted and leaked oil all over the inside of the package. It has a very light scent left. It’s an ok scent I ordered a citrus scent that was in perfect condition. I will not order another candle in summer months, lesson learned!

I was skeptical that I might receive an old product or knock off . I'm picky about my candles! I've ordered directly from this candle company several times but tried through Amazon to save shipping. Recieved authentic product, same strong scent and quality candle! I usually purchase The Aunt Kooks Apple Cider scent, this was my first time buying the Sage&Citrus scent, it's not my personal preference, but I will continue to buy this same quality product from Amazon, just in a different scent.

I have MANY A Cheerful Giver candles and I love them, however, they missed it on the Sage and Citrus. Expecting notes of citrus and the spice sage, it is more of a roadside bathroom smell. You know, the have to stop that you don't really want to do but you can't wait any longer stop. Yeah, I don't care for that smell, but if you do, this candle is for you! Very disappointed. Most of the reviews under this candle is for other scents and I'm not sure how that happened but you might want to read them all to find the at the moment scent for you. I wouldn't dare burn this in my kitchen even though the name would suggest you could... No likey...

Smells great, has a light and natural scent that isnt overpowering.

Nice candle, smells a bit more like soap than citrus, but it looks great in the bathroom.
