It's a good idea, but the block easily damages the laminate
The blacks corners and quite sharp which can easily lead to the laminated top of the flooring to get damaged. I had to do some modifications to make it work for me, those being gluing a section of flooring to the underside, glueing another block to the back, and taping the whole lot in place, now, I have a very useful tool. I'm very aware I could achieve the same thing with just an off cut, but the handle really makes a difference.
