Ok case, but has several cons
Overall, this is an okay case. There aren't many cases around for this generation of kindle which is one of the reasons I picked this case. I like the bright vibrant colors. The exterior is very rubbery and I think it would protect a device if it were to fall. There are however several cons to this product.1. The plastic sheet that covers the screen is impossible to completely smooth out, leaving bubbles across the screen.2. The stand makes it stand up at only one angle, which is pretty much upright. I wish it were able to recline a little bit more. The stand easily detaches which can be a pro or a con. It seems to fall off if I'm carrying the kindle around but it is nice to be able to remove it when I want since the stand is a little bulky.3. The speaker sounds slightly distorted when you listen to it at louder levels through the case. It makes a vibrating sound.4. The flap for the charger is very flimsy. I haven't had any problems with it as of yet, but I can tell that it will be the first thing to break on the case.

Couldn't ask for a better case.
This case has saved my kindle many times. I have dropped it on several occasions still works good as new, no dust to get into the ports thanks to the port covers, my screen looks brand new thanks to the screen protector on it. I had it with me one day when I was in the rain, no water got to it at all. It is comfortable to hold when reading a book on the kindle. I chose the pink and white color and have been asked several times where I got my case. I would defiantly recommend this case. Be sure to read the description on which kindle it will fit as it will only work with Fire HD 7'' 2012

My Kindle is finally protected
I tried 2 other cases before I found one that was right for my kindle. The options are very limited for late model kindles, but this is a great product. It's durable, easy to access the ports and buttons and fits great. I have not had any issues with the touch screen and the plastic cover and I haven't had any pieces fall off, but I can see how they might. I gave it only 4 stars because the stand really won't even stay on the case. I didn't get it for the stand just the protection from a 2yr old and I have complete confidence in this product for that. I also have to say the instructions on how to put it on your kindle are pretty much non-existent, but a little trial and error and I had it together in a few minutes.

Nice looking and feeling case
Got this case today to protect my Kindle from my toddler. Nice looking and feeling case. The little stand will likely come off and be lost within the next few days, but this isn't a deal breaker for me. I do not have any bubbles under my screen as some of the other reviews have described. My biggest issue with this case is the poor design of the charger opening. It is too narrow and does not provide adequate room for the plastic piece above the actual metal part to fit. I don't like the idea of having to take the case off to charge it each time. I will likely keep this as there are not many options for sturdy cases for this older model Kindle. May try a different cord to see if it makes a difference.

Love it.
This is the most protective case ever. I would say it is like the OtterBox of iPhones. It is a little on the heavier side, but that is to be expected of a larger/bulkier case. I love that it has the screen protector built into part of the case, so no liquid can seep in between the screen protector and the side of the case. The color is a nice bright print, and it fits my Kindle perfectly. I would definitely recommend this!

Looks nice, Kindle feels more substantial
Makes my most used Kindle (have 3 - one older, one newer) feel hefty and well-protected. Don't think much of the stand and probably won't use it. As others have said, the screen needs to be tapped harder and has some bubbling. However, I want this Kindle to last a lot longer so I can live with these issues, at least for now.

Not all that great
While the outer shell is nice, and the soft portions make it easier to hold, the clear plastic cover is dismal. It doesn't fit quite right, so you have to practically slam your finger onto the screen to make it work. I finally just took that part off. I also had to cut off the cover for the charging hole, including the plastic, because I couldn't fit my charger into it as it was. These should really be tested more for things like that before putting them out for consumers.

Sturdy, but creates a screen air bubble.
Purchased for our 4 year old. It is very sturdy. The only problem we have is that the screen creates a space from the actual kindle so it has an air bubble or pocket. You have to push harder to select apps, etc. We've tried to take the whole cover off and readjust the screen to fit tighter but it ended up going back to the same thing with the bubble. May decide to cut it out but then it will not be water or dust or proof.
