Pretty much as advertised, not as sturdy as I'd like.The sides velcro together to make it stand/be a bag insert.There is a outside side pocket, but probably won't get much use.It has several pockets on the Inside which is nice. The backpack it is in , I think only has a couple.I do like that it has the handles, so it can be taken out. But I will probably end up leaving in the bag just for more organization, instead of just having a deep backpack.Overall, I think it is an ok Insert and will get the job done.

I wanted to love this insert as it was just what I needed as far as pockets and features to turn my madewell bag to a diaper bag. Not many diaper bag inserts on the market, especially in a decent price range. The material was the issue for me, and I ended up returning for something less convenient as far as design but more durable in materials. This would probably work fine for grandparents or aunts/uncles that only occasionally need to have a diaper bag, especially since it fits in a regular tote (fit my madewell zip top carryall perfectly)- but it was too flimsy of a material and zipper to be an every day use diaper bag insert. Would’ve gladly paid a little more for this to be made in felt or even just a thicker fabric with a stronger zipper.

Although this is made for diaper bags, I also find it useful for my backpack and other items than diapers. It is light enough and larger than the typical inserts, which makes it so great for backpacks. I love than I can just take it all out and put it in a different backpack when I want to switch. Funny enough, we do not use it as a diaper bag insert, because our diaper bags already have all those compartments we need. I guess if you have a tote you love and want to convert it into a diaper bag, you could use this insert. Then your tote still looks like a tote but you use it as a hidden diaper bag.

It’s the perfect size to fit inside of a tote , which is what I plan on using it for. I like that it stands on it’s own.
