Less oily and salty than potato chips. And nice change or option for people that can’t have potatoes!

We first enjoyed these chips in Puerto Rico during a vacation. The flavor is excellent and they are better for you than potato chips.

I’m a fan of Terra chips so I was looking forward to trying these root vegetable chips. Unfortunately, they don’t measure up to Terra chips. I’m not sure if I got a bad batch, or if they were not stored at the proper temperature in the warehouse, but they tasted like old oil to me—almost like a rancid oil flavor. Aside from the flavor, the chips were nice and crunchy, and the thickness of the chips lent themselves to a nice substantial snack.

These Goya Foods Taro Root Chips are good for a change of pace. I like the crunchy texture and the lightly sweet and salty taste from the taro and salt. While crunchy, these aren’t as crisp as typical potato chips. The taro chips have less fat than regular potato chips, but I notice the underlying taste of oil more than I do with most potato chips. I find taro rather mild or bland and don’t eat oily food much, so perhaps that’s why I notice the oily taste more. I’m not crazy about it, but the oil doesn’t taste rancid.I’ve opened a couple bags and they have some larger chips that look like the photo, but also have a lot of small pieces mixed in even though the bags aren’t crushed. These taro chips have some potassium and iron but don’t have enough nutrition for me to consider them a healthier choice than potato chips (which I like better). These have 130 cals per a 1oz serving (1/6th of the bag), which is reasonable for a snack or splurge now and then if I limit myself to one serving. Like it. 4 stars. Product of Honduras.

Best price for these chips, I love the taste

These are very, very tasty. Perfect texture and not too salty. Terra brand were my previous favorites, but these ones are not only less expensive, they might be better.
