There is no nut in the ingredients list so that’s a plus. Thank you for that. Sometimes there’s candlenut added to rendang depending on the brand. The instruction said to simmer the beef for 40 minutes but most of the times rendang has to be simmered for at least a couple of hours to get the sauce to thicken up and also the flavor to immersed in the beef. Overall the taste of this mix is authentic! It’s most definitely rendang, not curry. Will definitely buy again. Oh yeah, there’s an expiration date on the package. Homiah definitely understand us consumers. :)

I absolutely love red curry and these spice kits definitely hit the spot (even better that they use 100% natural ingredients)! Really convenient and quick to make as well; I just followed the suggested recipe at the back of the packet and it came out delicious. Will definitely stock up on more of these to have handy for quick meals in the future, and supporting a small business is definitely a plus.

Purposefully bought from this company as the ingredients list states unrefined coconut sugar is used instead of white sugar, which I cannot eat. Imagine my surprise when I look at the ingredient list again once the pouches arrive to discover this product uses regular sugar NOT coconut sugar. Of course you also cannot return this item, so this is a loss for me.

The Homiah Red Curry base is amazing! It is very versatile, and I love how easy it is to make a 1-pan dish. I add chicken with some vegetables and coconut milk, and it always ends up coming out amazing. I enjoy making Malaysian style food, but when I don't have much time, this is the perfect thing. Would definitely recommend and I will be buying again.

We really liked the taste of the laska base. However you still have to buy Coconut milk and noodles, making it a very expensive meal. Especially if you use good Hokken noodles as has been suggested by other posts.I now just buy Prima Taste Laksa that already comes with noodles and the base and a pouch of coconut milk powder and costs even less if you buy the 12 pack. I got the Malaysian red curry paste and the taste was so nostalgic!!! I love that it’s vegan, diary free and so many others. IMO it was pretty easy to make and you can also access the link to different recipes from their website. The recipe was very informative and helpful. Will definitely purchase it again!

My husband and I have fallen in love with these curry base packets. We love making Thai, Malaysian, and Chinese dishes, but having all the ingredients in the right amounts can take more planning than we often have the mental space for. These really hit that sweet spot—delicious, and so straight forward to make. They remind my husband of his grandmothers recipes :). Would definitely recommend and will buy again!!

Loved using these! It was so easy to use and quick to make a delicious meal. I love that they taste authentic (and like I’d spent hours making them but really it took 15 mins)! Also, how pretty is that packaging ?! My fave is the rendang

I had never tried Laksa before so unfortunately I won't be able to compare to the real thing but I thoroughly enjoyed this! Often times when I buy similar items I find them very bland and lacking flavor but this one definitely had a flavor I enjoyed and definitely will repurchase.The best part of this pack is it is so simple and quick to make if you're in a rush! Just simply boil some water, add the paste, stir and let simmer for 5 minutes before adding half a cup of coconut milk. The taste was great as is but my husband and I like a bit of spice so I added some chili flakes as well as a 1/3 cup chicken broth to lengthen it out a bit. I love that this is so delicious and gluten free and poured it on top of sweet potato noodles to keep it gluten free. This paired very well with an egg, tofu and various veggies and really I could see it working with a bunch of different combos. For $2.50 a serving I find the price reasonable but not something I will stock up too heavily on, but it really is a great way to have a quick and tasty gluten free meal which is fairly hard to come by.

Rendang should be Aromatic like all curries, this was flat, hard to believe No Curry Smell! Even after I pan fried the Rendang sauce .. still nothing, I end up adding a package of Arroy D Rendang sauce & slightly saved it! I add garlic, onion powder & Fish Sauce to bring out the taste! Yes, Coconut Cream added! I threw away the other 2 packages! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

I am just waiting for this to come back in stock. It is amazing!
